And finally people start to come around. I've said it before and I will say it again: 15 games, 1 assist, and by far the worst +/- on the team at -8 as a supposed defensive centerman. And I don't want to here the bs look at his linemates excuse, when the same reasoning didn't apply to Tedenby.

Tedenby had 'plenty' of games in a scoring role/with scoring linemates here two years ago and in the AHL and hasn't ever produced big numbers here or the AHL, hell he never even produced average numbers. Unlike Tedenby, Josefson can produce even when he's not scoring although his game's gone backwards this year.

I don't know why every criticism of Tedenby has to turn into a referendum on Josefson and vice-versa around here. They're two completely different players with different roles, the only thing they have in common is being high draft picks for the same organization.

Not surprised Jake has been sent down. I don't care how good he is defensively, he is absolutely useless in the offensive zone. He's taken a step back in his development.

And people laughed at me last year when I said Henrique is by far the superior player. It's not close at all...

Lamoriello said that Josefson's play had dropped off recently and that they want him to go to Albany and get his confidence back.

Well the question mark can be taken out of the title now. Hopefully Loik gets a chance in a third-line role otherwise this is just going to be more of the same. But him being in a third-line role would involve breaking up the Carter line and likely shifting Stephen down to a fourth-liner.

Now Barch will finally be able to score some goals without that bum Josefson holding him back.

You jest but maybe Loik and Butler wind up finding a little chemistry, who knows. Kind of the least they can do to give him a shot after they shuttled him up and down a few days ago and honestly Josefson's done the least of any player in the lineup this year to contribute positively.

i'm a yayo supporter, but i don't mind him being sent down. he was playing well in the ahl, let him stay there until he's needed due to injury or with a couple weeks left in the season to get him back into nhl pace before the playoffs.

now when lokti is 6 games in and has 1 point, are people going to call for his head too?

I think Loki and Butler would play well together but Barch doesn't really fit in with those two. At least the inevitable Kovy-Loki-Butler line should be solid.

Who were Yayo's linemates with his -8? I know he was on with Kovy and Butler last night for one.

Did any of these goals against come when he was on the top line or was it mostly with Barch/Janssen/Butler?

Josefson really does need to work on just his game and stop letting his linemates dictate how he plays. He needs to drive play more and also improve his shooting. That is an aspect, while we knew he'd probably never be a real significant scorer even if he broke out, has just become so poor. Too many times he'd create an opportunity and just shoot it into the body of the goalie.

Are any of the guys he played with even near a -8? Josefson earned that -8, he was directly responsible for at least a couple of goals against with bad defensive zone turnovers.

Barch, Butler and Carter are a -2, that's the second worst total on the team. When 'one' guy has such a disproportionate total compared to the rest of his team, that's a problem.

What was predictable. Yayo played great for the first few games, thought he'd continue. He just trailed off lately. Hope Loki can stick. Loki and Kovy will be getting a few shifts whenever Pete decides to double shift Kovy. That'll be interesting to see.

I just hate Kovy's constantly rising icetime total. And we have to deal with it for another twenty or so games before Zubrus comes back. Hopefully Kovy hasn't broken down by then. Or someone else, preventing us from scaling back Kovy's ES time.

he plays on the 4th line, i say that again 4th line.

why not send Barch who does nothing? at least Yayo plays on the pk

Nobody was noticeable against the Islanders, Yayo surely wasn't brilliant, but on a 4th line playing mostly PK minutes there's not that much you can do, and he still gets the job done.

Jacob will stay for now until Zubrus is back, the decision will then have to be made, and I'm confident Barch and not Yayo will be the odd man out.
