Both are already signed. The ato is to close out this year. The ELC starts next year.

His contract starts next season. He is playing on an ATO with Laval and can not play in the NHL this season.

He isn't even on the radar to play in Montreal next season and likely won't threaten to dethrone the starter for at least 2 more seasons and very possibly 4-5 seasons. This is exactly how it works with goalies.
