Hughes was very good. Set up teammates, scored on his PS, but even with no points that was a good showing. Threw a shoulder into Kreider on the boards too, he was engaged all night. None of that game was on him.
He doesn't suck like he did as a rookie, but it's definitely not his strength.
Doesn't matter I'd the winger plays like a center. This is 2023. Centers and wingers and positions are just titles more often than not. Players are leaning heavily into position less hockey or taking multiple jobs.
I mean 6 points in 2 games isn't God awful. Agreed he should be way, way higher than that, but it's not awful.
Marner was not great in game 1 despite the assists, but he was excellent in game 2.
hughes had 0 points and marner had 1a, both in lopsided losses when that was posted. good try tho.
