Byfield. But between Hughes, Lafreniere and Byfield, there's a bounty of high ends guys in these next couple drafts. Whoever gets one of these guys will be over the moon.

Lafreniere isn't 1 year younger? He's maybe 5 months younger.

And the answer's Jack Hughes easily.
Its definitely not anyone easily. Hughes has high end skill but hes got some growing to do,even in the WJSS he was getting pushed around a bit. Dont have those concerns with Lafrenierre with a similar high end skill set

This only means that Lafrenière is slightly more physically mature for his age group; he has one less “hockey year”, if you will, of development behind him. The word “easily” or the phrase “AINEC” has no place in this discussion at this point in time.

LaFreniere.

Hughes is around Eichel while LaFreniere is in the McDavid/Matthews conversation.

Hughes literally just smashed Matthews’ numbers this year at the same age.

Hughes put up better numbers than either Eichel or Matthews did at that age, and those guys are not too shabby.

It's always hard to compare across draft years, though.

I remember watching McDavid dominate the U18 WC as a double underaged player. He was more dominant then than Lafreniere was in this Hlinka tournament playing with his age group. He's not a McDavid level talent. That being said, Lafreniere is still a phenomenal prospect and I could see him play center in the NHL. I would however go with Hughes here, just breathtaking skill.

Are you sure? I've dealt with a fair share of French, and French-Canadian peoples, and have never encountered this.

I wish his first name was Xavier. Lafreniere is probably the closest name to Laflamme (that I can think of). Being a young phenom...

Someone give him #70!

Alexis is definitely a boys name, and a popular one. I lived in Quebec for 16 years and met a few.

For what it's worth, the letter S is silent if it makes it better for you.
