agree but wrong era. Those days are pretty well done.Open Season on Devils star players.
Everyone just standing around watching their franchise player get taken out into the boards.
I dont care if its accidental, or with zero intent, you gotta let everyone know that nobody is even allowed to breath near your superstars.
Pathetic
Not even close. No idea what Keefe is complaining aboutDoes Eichel do that on purpose though? Looks more freak/incidental.
Anders lee had a similar spill tonight tripping into the boards from the goal line. Right upYa, more mass colliding with the boards leads to better results. This is science, I’m definitely not just trying to be Brochad Getbig on the internet here.
easy to prevent, dont be so Jack and skate slowerThey just played together at the 4 nations and Eichel stayed there after checking that he was OK. No malicious intent and looked like 2 guys playing hard and bad result.
Keefe blew a gasket as Hughes was involved in a very similar play earlier in the period and Hughes was penalized leading to a goal against on that PP.
Inconsistant reffing from Wes? Say it ain't so....
That sums up HF in a nutshell. So many confidently incorrect people.
It wasn't even Eichel's skate that tripped him.
Hanifin’s skate coming across from other side of the creaseIf wasn’t Eichel’s skate that caused Hughes’ to splay sideways, sending him tumbling over, then what did?

So, never played hockey?
I separated my shoulder and was off the ice for 5 months on a surprisingly similar not that bad, nonchalant impact with the boards.
I have never played hockey, so I may be totally off here, but to me it looked like Eichel was trying to stop or at least slow down and in the process his right skate made contact with Hughes' right skate and they both ended up losing balance and crashed into the boards. Hughes got the worst of it and the injury is of course extremely unfortunate, but it wasn't a malicious play by Eichel, and I am not even sure I would call it reckless, though a case could probably made for that.
I hope Hughes recovers quickly and most importantly fully.
If it was called 2 minutes for tripping, it would’ve been on HanifinYeah it wasn't malicious but likely should have been a 2 minute tripping penalty.
Kane played wing. Some small guys never get hurt. Did Patrick Kane ever get injured?
