He wasn’t paid to be objective, he was paid by the bruins to be the bruins pbp guy. I can’t understand why this is such a hard concept for people to follow. Hope that kicking a guy when he’s down made you feel like a better human today .
He was paid to commentate on the game, not pull shit out of his ass. There's a difference between being a homer and what Edwards is.

Relax with the victim complex, no one is talking about his medical condition, strictly how he did his job. Which outside of Boston, everyone agrees that the guy was a complete jackass on the air and the consensus worst commentator in the NHL. Just because someone has a medical condition, does not make that person exempt from fair criticism, he was atrocious.

I can't understand why this is such a hard concept for people to follow.

Look who’s talking about victim complex, you come into a thread about honoring the man just to take a shit on him. Stay classy or cruise on by, nobody cares about your opinion.

This is perfect example of why people can’t stand Toronto fans. Have fun with all that unbiased objectivity of the TML media.

Because like 99% of other hockey fans, I agree that Jack Edwards was an insufferable jackass on the air ? Sure

Jack Edwards comes across as a genuinely bad person. Why anybody would celebrate him is beyond me. Some of the things he’s said over the years were just self reports of how bad his character is which for a TV personality is a bad thing.

You think it is right for a commentator to be saying those things when players are hurt?

It is the reason among fans edwards ranked dead last commentators, because these comments was an every game thing with him.

Dude I’m really not even an Edwards fans but you are straight up fabricating things now. He wished injury on players every game? Yeah…no.

Oh my god, the arrogance. A “genuinely bad person”?

Yikes.

If “everyone outside of Boston” doesn’t like him and this is well-established, why do you feel the need to come into a thread talking about a tribute to him to repeat what everyone apparently already feels ad nauseum? Seriously, what is the purpose other than to rile some people up? Think that makes you a term that rhymes with mole.

Absolutely clueless, ignorant comment. I've met Jack on more than one occasion and you couldn't be more wrong.

I made one comment, a member of your fan base felt the need to throw personal attacks and continues to keep replying to my comment, so I'm replying back to his.

Now you're here again throwing personal attacks and then gonna wonder why I'm replying again lol

What is the purpose of comments like this other than trying to rile me up ?

Even a thread about Jack makes some rival fans pissy. Damn, he did a great job 🤣

You responded to perhaps the most innocent post in the entire thread by calling Edwards “the biggest idiot in hockey” and then followed that up by responding to another post about chilling with the “victim complex”.

The lack of self-awareness is something to behold. You led off with an intentionally incendiary post, got the obvious pushback, and then started rattling on about “personal attacks” seemingly ignorant to all of the material that you yourself were posting that was as “personal” as anything coming your way. All in a thread highlighting a tribute to someone in which your opinion on the subject is nothing more than something everyone already feels, according to you. Boy, what a worthy contribution.

The whole innocence to which you plead is hilarious. Like you’re actually convinced of it. You got the responses that were inevitable and now are playing the “but I didn’t do anything” game. I’m sure this isn’t your first foray into this type of internet posting.

refer back to my previous post about the mole if you like.

On the subject, yes, it’s PERFECTLY UNDERSTANDABLE that you don’t like Jack’s work. Much of the time, I didn’t either. But he took his job a lot more seriously than comes through on his most clownish sound bites and had a passion for the team. He deserves a tribute. Even if he has his moments of cringe.
