Shocked a bruins fan is not seeing what the entire rest of the NHL and it's fans see.
No. I'm not even a Jack Edwards fan really.

You thinking he literally meant what he says in terms of players "dying" and him wishing them to be in the hospital after fights/Hits is actually insane. If he was wishing injury or death on players, he would have been gone long ago.

I'm concerned for all of the posters who knew exactly what the thread was about when they clicked on it because the subject line is very descriptive and accurate, and yet somehow got offended when they saw exactly what was in the thread.

Move along if you don't want to participate.

Also reference: What we need around here is an anti-whining ordinance.

It's pretty scary that they can't figure out what's wrong with him and even more scary that you would assume he would have some of the best doctors checking him out with his connections to the team and they still can't figure it out.

100%

It's very scary. And I hope everything works out for him. It's so sad to hear him speak now

Bravo! I can't stand the guy and his buffonery, but as such, I've stayed out of these threads (except for now). Like him or not, the Bruins rightly gave him a night of honor, and he certainly deserved it. On top of that, even one who hates him can have a little empathy for his health problems. Instead, we get classless morons calling it "karma"; in other words, doing exactly the same things they accuse Jack of doing.

Has he lost cognitive ability or is it literally a disconnect between his brain and being able to articulate his thoughts with his voice?

The dude used to drive me nuts but eventually he grew on me. His passion is unmatched and people like him make the game more interesting and fun to follow. And I heard him interviewed on a podcast awhile back and he was a great interview. Wish you all the best, Jack!

Probably because he's one of, if not the biggest idiot in hockey. There's being a homer then there's the Jack Edwards category, I know Bruins fans liked his work but the guy was a complete moron and couldn't even try to be objective about anything.
He wasn’t paid to be objective, he was paid by the bruins to be the bruins pbp guy. I can’t understand why this is such a hard concept for people to follow. Hope that kicking a guy when he’s down made you feel like a better human today .

At least Jack still has his sense of humor. Hopefully they figure out what's going on with him.

I'll always remember him for when he compared the Bruin's beating the MONTREAL Canadien's, to the American's beating King George of BRITAIN.

Many non-Bruins fans had little opportunity to get a grip on Jack. He was a vast improvement on his predecessor and brought an authentic passion to his calls for 99% of the games each season.

Then you'd get that call like the one quoted and you'd just be sitting there, choking on 2nd hand embarrassment, so shocked you never even thought to mute the nonsense.

Jack was great, but he'd definitely have that drunk uncle moment once a year.
