Injury Report: Jack Campbell "Out for weeks"

  • Xenforo Cloud has upgraded us to version 2.3.6. Please report any issues you experience.
Leafs play 3 games in 6 days (no back to backs) before 4 days off with no back-to-backs until Feb 17/18.

Hopefully he's good to come back and take one of the four games from Feb 4 to Feb 10, but if he isn't then Andersen likely plays them all until Hutchinson gets the back-to-back.

Of all the times for our back-up to get injured (unless it is long-term, aka more than 3-4 weeks), this is probably the best.

Leafs defence looks better so not too worried this year with Hutch playing a game or two.

He probably has a lot more confidence after his playoff experience this past year.

Plus he's playing in empty buildings, so you'd think he would be able to keep it together a little better.

There career numbers suggest you're exaggerating, big time.

The issue with Hutchinson is that he hasn't been good for like 5 years.

Even when he was with the Marlies, he wasn't that great. His numbers are inflated by the Marlies' defense.

Hutch is 30 years old and has 6 NHL seasons where his save% starts with a .9

Truly not the worst option for goalie #3

And Dell hasn't been good since the 17/18 season.

Regardless, I'd say Hutchinson is in the top half of 3rd string goaltenders in the NHL and ideally neither he nor Dell (if he was here) play any games this year.

I fully agree, but at the same time at least San Jose wasn't a great team so he could possibly do better (last year's perspective). Two years ago he was really bad though.

Hutchinson was brutal, even behind good teams, for a lot longer than that.

People complained about Sparks having a save percentage starting with a .9, and he had much worse to work with than Hutch. It's too bad he wore out his welcome in Toronto, because I still think he does significantly better with Keefe than Babcock.
