Really fun to watch the Russian team, lots of creativity. But they have to be more careful on defense, they allow too many odd-man rushes.

Is anybody knows why Jakob Chychrun and Logan Brown is out of Canada's roster?

Is there any where to watch the Canada vs Sweden game? Thought I heard TSN was showing all the games but I guess I was mistaken.

Really dominant second period by Canada, they deserve to be ahead by a few goals. The small Swedish forwards aren't getting anywhere and the D looks rather immobile. That's expected though.

Swedes had that shot at the end of that late PP, couldn't tell which guy it was but he had lots of net to shoot at on the one timer and looks like he put him back into the goalie.

Only caught the last 10 minutes, but Canada controlled the play other than the PP.

That was Fällström. Bratt had a shot off the post a couple of shifts later.

After their first two games, Canada strikes me as a team that is very good at sustaining zone time. They dominate the play a lot of the game and I rarely feel anxious or tense watching them. Otoh they seem to lack high end snipers. Even when they create sustained play in the offensive zone, they aren't exactly creating top-notch scoring chances. This seems particularly true of the line of Benson-Patrick-Dubois, who have been impressed me with the way they control the o-zone. But I wonder if some of our other lines might actually score more.

Both goalies they've faced have been solid, though.

Anyway, I love being able to actually watch these games even if the picture quality is marginal.

The 1998 group is not a particularly good one for Canada imo. It's still early, but there's nobody in this group outside of Chychrun that impresses me much.

You may well be right. Certainly I'm not seeing anything to contradict that point-of-view so far.

I am impressed by their team play though, which may be a credit to Stan Butler.

I do like a bunch of players at a less elite level- I'm definitely becoming a fan of William Bitten.
