It's ridiculous to think that it had any impact on their career. Do you really think Suzuki wouldn't be the player he is without that? Don't even reply. It helped but it didn't make a huge difference.lol we are just going to forget about the impact Julien, Richardson, Weber and the vets in the 2021 had on Nick and Cole’s career? MSL took over the development from many other people. MSL can take credit for Guhle and Slaf, I’m giving Hudson’s credit to Pandolf and the boys at BU who groomed him I into a wicked pro player before he got here. Hutson literally got here and was our best dman, MSL did what exactly? After a while he let him play, he didn’t show him how to play D one bit. He gave him chances, yay?
I don’t know what game you guys were watching but I saw a 19 yo kid who didn’t look out of pace, we tried to finish his checks. He didn’t engaged with Ovy. He’s getting a feel for the game.
Demidov is going to hit a point like Michkov did after a few great games.
The emotions from the debut wear off and the defensemen start paying attention to him much more.
Also, it’s play offs so flashy plays are not welcomed and he’s just not used to hard grinding type of plays.
Having an absolute black hole as a linemate doesn’t help either
Did you forget the /s?Nobody is melting down, nobody is panicking.
That's what Rotenberg was saying all along and you guys with your rose glasses can't understand.Demidov just needs to learn to be more assertive with the puck and not
20 yr career, missed playoffs 4 times, won 1 rd six times, lost first round 8 times, won cup once.God I wish we could get a quitter like him
Also why do you keep ignoring all the posts calling out your stupid ass comment with many examples of driven Russian players

Both Crosby and Ovechkin were seen as generational.
In my opinion generational means a player who can take an entire team on his shoulders and have remarkable success from day 1.
With what we saw from Demidov in his 3 first shifts, he's it.
I am guessing you are young and did not see him quit, I watched it numerous times. As soon as he realized that the game was out of hand he literally quit as in PLD quit, this was in the playoffs. I was embarrassed for his teammates. Selfish player. I know the older fans on here saw the same thing.Stanley Cup
Conn Smythe
9x Rockets
Art Ross
2x Ted Lindsay
3x Hart
3x WC Gold
WJC Gold
All time NHL goals leader
Yeah man not driven at all

This literally didn’t happen and there’s 50 other examples of Russian players that have been among the NHLs bestI am guessing you are young and did not see him quit, I watched it numerous times. Dude,
Every single poster here wants Demidov to be generational, on the level of players like Kucherov, Crosby, etc.
But it's too early to give him that moniker.
Everybody says nonsense from time to time.Dude Lafleurs guy would be the first to call Bedard Generational
Demidov's first period was incredible, but consistency is a prerequisite to greatness.Demidov is better, him getting 10 mins a game with crappy linemates is on the coach.
Are you denying what you saw from his first period as a rookie?

Dude, come on. He’s learning a new language, a new system in a new country. We’re trying to coach him during the playoffs instead of using his assets in our advatange.
Demidov could actually unlock the 1st pp and that would expose some of the vets. They dont want that kind of negative energy thats why they’re not trying him on the first PP.
Subban took over the 1st d role and no one had a problem.
we’re trying to make the vets look good at the expense of winning
Subban took over the 1D role because Markov was injured and Hamrlik was on the other pairing (and doing splendidly).
I agree that Demidov is not being used properly which is related to the second line needing to be broken up. I'm not sure how MSL should go about it.
What is the units of measure for generational? He's awesome. So was Sakic, so was Yzerman... neither were generational and neither is Kucherov.
There's precious close to nothing but hyperbole in this thread, comments vacillating between "generational" and "lay Russian bust," both of which are disconnected from the realities of his situation as a player.A little early to be called generational imo. The nhl is a big big step up from the Khl
A franchise player that dominates their league at their position for a large number of years. What is the units of measure for generational?
Has any player found chemistry with Laine and Newhook?Set up to fail lol.
I agree, Kucherov is a dominant, stand out player for multiple years in a row.A franchise player that dominates their league at their position for a large number of years.
Right now that's Kucherov and McDavid.
Crosby and Ovechkin were there.
I suspect that Price would have likely been generational if he had had better health. It didn't help that Bergevin built a weak team and played the starter 70+ games a year.
