Suzuki is a tank at 5'11 and just over 200 lbs.that's been my main complaint since 94, our core is small! Slaf is the only one over 200lbs, we need Beck, Florian , Tuch to make the team and add some jam.

Sounds good as long as the Russian in question is not Andrei Svechnikov LOL
he needs to learn to grind, hire Therrien please. He needs to learn RESPEKT and GRINDINGThat's too flashy, we don't want a guy like that on the powerplay or in the shootout.
still one of my favorite memories of this season
I don't think it's a downgrade at all. Laine is better at making that shot than Caufield but not by some gigantic amount outside of that initial hot streak. Caufield is so much better than Laine at everything else, especially being the relief pass on the entry and keeping the play going with passing. I would keep Slaf in front of the net and put Demidov in the corner.Agreed. Caufiield can take his place on the PP. not a huge downgrade, especially since we can put Demidov where Caufield is now. Then, we replace Laine with someone who can play 5v5.
Hey man, if our guys could convert plays into goals, DemiGod would have had a 5 point night.I was screaming to Demidov to not give it to Newhook.
It's crazy. Every time i criticize Newhook i feel bad cause the kid is trying. Can't blame him for not working and trygin that's for sure. But man the amount of chances he missed last game given to him on a gold plate by Demidov was crazy. The most baffling one was in OT when Demidov was all alone and Newhook had like an entire life time to pass him the puck for a breakaway and he could not pull it off. I was literally screming to my TV "my grandma would have done it *&/&*?&"/*(".Hey man, if our guys could convert plays into goals, DemiGod would have had a 5 point night.
Newhook has been effort all season long, but in skating to nowhere kind of effort. He's been inefficient. It's crazy. Every time i criticize Newhook i feel bad cause the kid is trying. Welcome to HFHabs family bro!I've been lurking all season long, did not comment on anything as I wanted to wait until I could see him play with my own eyes before doing so.
I've been an NHL (and Habs) fan for 25 of my 33 years on this Earth, and I know it pales in comparison to some of the other posters here, but I don't think I've ever been that convinced EVER that a player would be a superstar as much as I'm convinced that Demidov will.
Very few players have made that impression on me in their first game. It was absolutely glaring that Demidov was the most skilled player for both teams on Tuesday and I'm definitely optimistic for the future of this team for the first time in my life.
I'm convinced he's going to be a multiple 100+ pts seasons kind of player if everything goes right.
Nah, he has a bullet, watch the last game.Is it just me or Demidov's shot looks weak by NHL standard ?! It's pretty accurate, but lacks heaviness...
Yeah, it's probably just me... needs to see him shoot more though.Nah, he has a bullet, watch the last game.
His acceleration is also lacking, both aspects will improve as he gains strength. Is it just me or Demidov's shot looks weak by NHL standard ?! It's pretty accurate, but lacks heaviness...
?St.Louis is dangerous for Demidov’s development
St.Louis is dangerous for Demidov’s development
It’s Newhook that is dangerous for his development. Guy can’t hit the net, can’t pass, couldn’t win a faceoff. He had to sit that line a good chunk of the third because of it. MSL will be great for his development next season, once we have another actual top 6 C to play him with.St.Louis is dangerous for Demidov’s development
He’s only 19. Wouldn’t worry about it. His hockey iq and skills are off the charts. Is it just me or Demidov's shot looks weak by NHL standard ?! It's pretty accurate, but lacks heaviness...
As long as it is accurate and deceptive, not being as heavy shouldn't be too much of a problem, but based on Edge, it's slightly above league average and that might not have been his heaviest one.Is it just me or Demidov's shot looks weak by NHL standard ?! Demidov needed to be on the first line today and first pp.It’s Newhook that is dangerous for his development. Guy can’t hit the net, can’t pass, couldn’t win a faceoff. I’m 100% confident the organization will do whatever necessary to make sure Newhook never sees the second line C position again.
