Since MSL took over, Caufield has 102 goals in 219 games (Feb 10th 2022 to today), so @Sasha Orlov can yap away all he wants, but that's litterally a hair (0.47 gpg) under a 40 goal pace (0.49 gpg), but in almost three seasons worth of play.
And that includes a full season where his shooting percentage was way off due to injury. When healthy those numbers are even better.
Michkov isn't nearly as productive in terms of goals so far, but to his credit, he's playing for Torts.

In terms of points, Caufield has 185 in 219 games under MSL, good for a 69 points average over a season.

Ya des croutes à manger, le Miche-Cough
Michkov could well be better. None of us can know. But it’s not a given that he will be.

Under MSL, excluding last season where his shot was off, he has 74 goals in 137 games, good for 44 over a season.

Don't say that too loud. I got absolutely crucified last summer when I pointed out Michkovs deficiencies and said I think Demidov will be better in the NHL because his game is much more translatable.
I watched the game yesterday against WSH, he got 2 goals but cheated so much defensively, you don't see him for 2 periods and then BAM 2 goals. When he has the opportunity the puck is in the net but he is very far from being reliable and team player. Also tried the michigan again, Torts must be furious about that

I’m with you, just look at his two goals from yesterday’s game. On both he’s cheating at the blue line and leaving the zone hoping for a turnover and is actually quite lucky the caps coughed up the puck. You could say that it’s great anticipation but not in this case as the caps had full control, like on the 2nd goal where Fehervary actually just falls stepping on the puck after getting a cross ice pass in the slot. I was really upset we didn’t select him but now that I watch him play I’m actually not impressed despite the strong production.
Saw your message after I replied to someone but that's exactly what I saw 🤣

Ridiculous.

Pfft. Superstar Caufield. I'm still waiting.
Demidov will take his spot, than we'll have a 2nd line 30 goal accessory scorer he is.

We'll see about that. CC was scoring at close to a 50 goal pace right out of the gate once we ditched DD.

Scoring at 50 goal pace for 20 games sequence is not scoring 50 goals. It's 30 goals per season because when he's not hot, he's a 2nd liner.

So far, there is zero evidence to indicate that this is the case. MIckhov may go on to have a better career, but that's just a hope and a dream at this point. Zero guarantees at all.

Zero evidence outside of the inconvenient U18 MVP tournament where Michkov was the best player in the world, period.

Caufield never ever, showed tier-1 performance in best on best. Even with tier 1 Hughes playing with him.

Caufield at 24, in his f-ing prime, can't make the US team...think about that for a second.

I didn't guarantee anything. All I said is that Michkov's potential is much, much, higher than Caufield and their rookie seasons are already quite telling.

Michkov 20 years old, 0.66 pts per game.
Caufield 21 years old 0.64 pts per game.

So 1 year younger, Michkov is already trending to outperform Caufield in his rookie that happened when he was older.

Stop with the stupidity and false statements, there is gap of potential between these two, there always was one.

He’s consistently scored at a 40 plus goal pace per 82 when healthy under MSL. That’s a fact.
