People going too hard on Michkov. Kids going to get better just like Hutson.

I think it's to be expected.

Reinbacher got absolutely crucified and roasted by this fan base when we took him over Michkov.

Then we had to hear for a year and most of this year how he's this generational prospect that we couldn't possibly pass on.

Now he's on pace for 49 points, one less than Slafkovsky had last year. Both would be their D+2.

Great offensive player, has his warts, is not generational, and passing on him is not looking currently to be this colossal mistake that deserved the wrist slitting, consternation and abhorrent bashing of a very good kid and prospect in Reinbacher.

We did not have the team to take Michkov.

I bet you they end up similar

Bet away, bad bet.

It's pretty clear his nickname will be Demi the way NHL'ers always just put an "i" at the end of every name.

Can also be Dovee in reference to Dove and his silky smooth hands

Russians are due for their next star. Kaprisov was the last one? Kaprisov is 27 and Demidov is 19. 8 years! Am I forgetting someone?

Michkov is more like a top 6F talent IMO.

Yeah the dude is doing this with f***ed up Ice time and usage too... I dont think Michkov was getting this treatment.

If that was an intentional backhand flick for the goal, then I don’t even know what to say anymore. I’m just waiting for the tragedy that prevents him from playing for us.

Deflected off 14 so he got an assist. Not quite as intentional but still good awareness and weight on a backhand after his initial attempt was stopped.

Was wide open and didn't get a good pass this period, and then he just made a nice pass that wasn't converted. Should have 2 pts today.

me watching demi's linemates screw up every puck touch possible

torts benched him.. all young guys need time

I'm trying not to get over the top about Demidov. Can't lie , I want it to be September , 2025 so we can see him here. I didn't see it, but am guessing the last time there was this much anticipation for a player was Guy Lafleur.

Michkov has a lot more tools than Caufield, much higher IQ.
So far, there is zero evidence to indicate that this is the case. MIckhov may go on to have a better career, but that's just a hope and a dream at this point. Zero guarantees at all.
