I think Demidov playing with the Habs will result in :
  • a sharp raise of ticket prices (because quality has a price )
  • a sharp raise of hot dog prices (because qual.... because!)
  • New Quebec-born players being good again 10 years from now.
Prices going up, is the old age, supply and demand, so yes they will rise for sure........
As for Que born players, it always seems they do not want to play in Montreal............but let's hope the habs returning to being a good team and winning again will change that...........

We’ll have our real first bona fide offensive role model since Guy Lafleur. I hope that Montreal kids will start learning and applying some of the things Demidov does that no one does in the NHL from day 1.

If Demidov lights up the league, I could envision Montreal as one of the most popular NHL teams in Russia.

I hope so but do you really think he belongs in a comparison with Gretzky, Lemieux and McDavid? To be frank I haven’t seen him play much but I got the impression from various report on him he was more projected as a start player than a generational one.
I put him in the franchise player category. not quite Generational..

Slaf can go where he belongs, on the second line. Caufield is close to PPG and is one of our better ES players with Suzuki. Demidov is a really good playmaker, so he'd be a better fit with Caufield and Suzuki who are both able to bury it on a constant basis.
I know slaf is up and down right now but the kid is tracking to becoming an ELITE winger in the NHL in a year or two, and I’ve RIPPED on him for a while
Now.

Caufield is already a top 30 winger. Slaf doesn't have the hockey IQ to become that. I maintain that his cap will be 70 points and will be happy to be wrong.

CAPPED letters don't add any weight.

Slaf is on a good track for sure. Still got some maturity and puck management issues but he is improving when you look past the points evaluations. His shot totals are low this year though. Needs to shoot a bit more.

Demidov looks to be a gem and will shine right away like Caufield and Hutson.

Does anyone track KHL analytics? Curious to see how Demidovs advanced stats look, I imagine they're extremely high

Demidov’s our smartest player. Aside from his physical skills and abilities, his hockey sense is already head and shoulders above anyone on the team right now. His OK IQ is briliant.
If he becomes Habs version of Panarin impact wise I think this is a huge W.
