What a ducking play
His strength, balance and lateral mobility are insane, all while carrying the puck
What a ducking play
As much as we rip Toenails Therrien for being a mindless slug, Demidov was pretty much under the same style in SKA and yet overcame the demotions, then benchings, the limited Playing time, negligible pp time, etc....well...but does he fight ? Habs don't need another cerebral player, but a physical player that can make our small players more confident.
There will be *plenty* of potential combinations to try out for a number of years evenwondering if the Caufield - Suzuki - Slaf line must be more Slaf - Suzuki - Demidov
The more we will get talent the more line 1 or 2 won’t matter, on the 2 lines the guys will play with other talented players and probably approximatively similar minutes. It’s all about chemistry, who will fit the best with who!Everything the Habs do should be centered around making Ivan Demidov the best he can be, end of story. The Habs haven't had anyone close to his skill level as a 19 year old going back over 30 years, you can not mess around here. Just do what's best as you have a real shot at a 100+ pt forward.
I kept saying Hutson if you put him in the NHL on day 1, it should be on PP1 and he's clearly showed that should have been the case, Demidov will show that he must be on the 1st line and 1st PP unit because he's that good.
I think he would've probably succumbed to a season ending injury. Rottenburgher's preventative foresight has been genius so far.I wonder if he’d be at 60 points had he played normal minutes all year.
What a ducking play
I really enjoyed my travels in Moscow and St-Petersburg. Attended games in both cities, me and the boys had habs jerseys and the people were extremely lovely to us. I’ll definitely visit again in the future.Watching all of the Demidov highlights this year has really peaked my interest about the KHL and made me a fan of SKA.
I would love to go there someday and watch a game. Looks awesome.
Holy moly bro chill. I know we are excited about Demidov for good reason, but comparing his potential impact to the likes of generational players, can we put a little less pressure on the guy before he even plays a single NHL game lmao.As much as we rip Toenails Therrien for being a mindless slug, Demidov was pretty much under the same style in SKA and yet overcame the demotions, then benchings, the limited Playing time, negligible pp time, etc....
True superstars perform under any circumstances.
The problem is this style can quickly derail a rookie player, unless they are generational.
Demidov will become one of the greatest Habs players of the past 40 years.. he truly will become a DemiGod -- next 15 years are going to be a lot of fun. Im particularly interested in how he will turn very good players (like Suzuki, CC, Slaf) into league leaders..
Think: linemates of Lemieux, Ovy, Gretz, Crosby, mcDavid, etc...
I think the pressure motivates him more - he will flourish in MTL. Guys like ID dont have a weak mental foundation. He'll come in and do what he does best..Holy moly bro chill. I hope so but do you really think he belongs in a comparison with Gretzky, Lemieux and McDavid? To be frank I haven’t seen him play much but I got the impression from various report on him he was more projected as a start player than a generational one.I think the pressure motivates him more - he will flourish in MTL. I went from hating SKA when they were benching Demidov to becoming a fan. It’s true that I still have a vested interest in seeing them be good as KHL playoffs will be a step closer to NHL level hockey for Demidov. Which makes me worried about SKA defensively. They’re the worst playoff level team for goals against. They’ll need to find a solution. Going fire wagon hockey won’t work.Watching all of the Demidov highlights this year has really peaked my interest about the KHL and made me a fan of SKA.

wondering if the Caufield - Suzuki - Slaf line must be more Slaf - Suzuki - Demidov
Seriously...We have been starved for so long for a elite forward. The hype around him is getting out of control lol. I will not be surprise if he score 60pts, people will start calling him bust.Holy moly bro chill. I know we are excited about Demidov for good reason, but comparing his potential impact to the likes of generational players, can we put a little less pressure on the guy before he even plays a single NHL game lmao.
I think it's time to admit BROman BROtenberg was right all along, and lived up to his name as a real BRO.I think he would've probably succumbed to a season ending injury. Rottenburgher's preventative foresight has been genius so far.
And Laine and Hutson...those 5 are going to be Prolific togetherSlaf can go where he belongs, on the second line. Caufield is close to PPG and is one of our better ES players with Suzuki. Demidov is a really good playmaker, so he'd be a better fit with Caufield and Suzuki who are both able to bury it on a constant basis.
Demidov will be a star player. In the best hypothetical science fiction scenario, I’m not sure he could even be named generational. And I’m not sure Celebrini could either. The true undisputed generational players since the 60s (Orr, Gretzky, Lemieux, McDavid) came to public attention as kids, their progress was followed closely and they were christened “generational” already as kids. Then drafted 1st or signed with an exceptional pro contract. Bedard is the only one that fit the bill on his draft day.Holy moly bro chill. It’s simple, take Newhook’s spot and icetime. What can the Habs do to optimize Demidov 's development?
Depends on what they're looking to develop him into. What can the Habs do to optimize Demidov 's development?

Caufield can play with Dach. He's able to help driving a line now.You think Laine-Dach-Demidov is the way to go?
There's more options if the team considered breaking up Slaf -Suzuki - Caulfield.
Why break a good trio? We have seen Slaf with Dach.....It did not work. You think Laine-Dach-Demidov is the way to go?
