two assist today bring him to 19 goals and 23 assist for 42 pts in 50 games.

He is also +22 for the season, top 5 in the KHL, after today and 12th in scoring in the KHL as a rookie.
I missed out on his other point. I had to go out.

So happy for the kid. Really looking forward to see him in Habs jersey next season.

I'm thinking Montreal should move up to draft Ryabkin and play the two on a kid line with Slafkovsky next season, to start, eventually allowing that line to become the team's first line and placing Suzuki in a position to become an elite 2nd line C.

To start:

Caufield - Suzuki - Heineman
Ehlers - Dach - Laine
Slafkovsky - Ryabkin - Demidov

The line order means little as you can give them near equal ice time, but, for the most part, Slafkovcsky - Ryabkin - Demidov would get more choice matchups against less opposition until they gained more experience playing together.

4th line of Anderson - Beck - Gallagher for two years while Gallagher and Anderson are still under contract for 12M with the Habs.

By the following year, Hage could join the ranks on an ELC and play with Beck on the 4th line, or Caufield and Suzuki on a 2nd line by then.

Move up? Ryabkin has been having a terrible year, with work ethic, conditioning and attitude issues. We might be considered reaching taking him with the CGY pick.

wondering if the Caufield - Suzuki - Slaf line must be more Slaf - Suzuki - Demidov
Why not Demidov - Suzuki - Caufield

Caufield and Suzuki have too much chemistry now, they know each other so well, it would be stupid to break em apart and it's not Slaf plays a power forward game where he's hitting anything that moves and protects them

I'm starting Demidov on the 2nd line with Laine and Dach but fully expect him to become a first liner by next December maximum

First, I think Suzuki and Demidov would still need a big guy like Slaf and I would be more confident with this kind of line in playoffs and also think that Caufield coud can use his weapon better without Suzuki than Slaf could too. Next Caufield can take charge of the 2nd line be a solution for the problem. He still can still have his PP1 time.
