His stick handling is elite. The only thing i find it weird is his skating. I just hope a goon in the NHl will not take a shot at his knee.
He's pretty quick at moving his legs and reacting. Look at how he draws his leg around the defender there (and then for good measure somehow reacts in time and balances well enough to shield his stick with that same leg - wtf lmao)

I doubt even his biggest fans before the 2024 draft thought he would progress this fast and would be doing some of the shit he's done in the KHL this season....This is nuts. It's making the KHL look like a peewee league. Yes, I know the KHL isn't what it used to be but this is still a men's professional hockey league and probably the 2nd or 3rd best one in the world.

Vanya’s biggest fan from before the 2024 draft here, can confirm I did not expect this insane development curve

Knew he would be a superstar but I didn’t think it could happen in his first season. Looks like he might be an elite player for us immediately.

His skating is also elite albeit unorthodox

He won’t be getting hit because he is way too agile
I hope. I don't want to see him get injure like Laine at the start of the season. Like you said, his skating is unorthodox. He will see next year. NHL players are also faster and more physical league then KHL.

This guy is a f***ing freak

Genuinely think 120pt seasons are not out of the question for him

With the huge list of disappointments in last 30+ years, I always temper my expectations.

I thought coming into this season:
Hutson - all star AHL season lighting it up.
Demidov - 25-30 pts as a rookie playing low minutes.

Both playing better than I imagined. Now my thoughts on Demidov as a NHL rookie wants to say 50pts...but now a part of me is starting to believe 70-80 is possible.
