I think Demidov is a clear notch above. Galchenyuk was talented but his defensive game and commitment were subpar. Jesperi Kotkaniemi was just not good enough to become a top 6 player, he has decent hockey sense and size but his skating, shot and offensive abilities were not incredible. Demidov is more fluid of a skater than both, superior hands, hockey sense and very active defensively and at applying pressure to the defenseman. My slight 'worry' if I am being extremely nitpicky, it's his shot, very good but maybe not elite like a Caufield or a Laine. To me, both Goalchenyuk and Kotkaniemi were promised to get a good NHL career. Skills were there, but they never reached their potential because of nightlife, arrogance, no efforts to work on their game. These kinds of behaviours are less predictable
