Habs cup - its in the BAG
Kind of. For that particular player though I think compete level isn’t close to being an issue.
Not worried about that, just always good to get exposure to pro level playoff intensity.

His contract ends 31 May and somehow I doubt SKA lets him walk away early.Nikishin will not make the trip to Moscow. Still injured. So it probably will be a short playoffs for SKA.
Maybe Demidov could go to Montreal if everything works out for the Habs, the timing will fit.

Playing playoff games in the KHL would be great for his development. It sucks that he's not gonna get much usage to start (if at all). Important to see how he does in a pro playoff series.
So he's doing the Ducharme special.
Great minds think alike.![]()
I suppose if he gets sent to the MHL and that team has an early exit? They seem to be pretty petty thoughHis contract ends 31 May and somehow I doubt SKA lets him walk away early.
July... its just a few months away.SUCKS
he won't play there and yet they cant bring him over
Just put him in the bank for next year and move on.I need patience!!!!
It's actually very mature. It's how the social hierarchy works in Russia. They don't let personal merit in the way of that. It's their choice. He's getting out soon. This is so obviously petty. The immaturity is so pathetic.
Exactly what I think, they have been a**hole all season, they won't let him go right after the season, they will make him offers until he finish his contract. For me there is no way he comes over after his season, only in JuneHis contract ends 31 May and somehow I doubt SKA lets him walk away early.
It's very immature to bench your best player because he doesn't have any intention to stay with the club after it.It's actually very mature. It's how the social hierarchy works in Russia. They don't let personal merit in the way of that. It's their choice. He's getting out soon.
Thank you, guy from Toronto. Very cool! It's how the social hierarchy works in Russia. They don't let personal merit in the way of that. It's their choice. He's getting out soon.
Not sure where you pull that perception from at a cultural level, but I can say from experience that this is at best a gross generalization. It's actually very mature. They're playing the only card they have left to try to get him to sign over there. It's very immature to bench your best player because he doesn't have any intention to stay with the club after it.
Social hierarchy or not, it's just petty.
Your making a political statement because you have others beliefs. That's fine. But keep in mind that the world does not revolve around your beliefs. It's very immature to bench your best player because he doesn't have any intention to stay with the club after it.

There's ample evidence of Russian sport teams featuring young stars earning bigger roles than established veterans. SKA/Rotty doing what they're doing has nothing to do with the social/cultural dynamics of Russia and everything to do with poor leadership... Which can be found in every culture and is perhaps in no greater display than present-day North American society & politics lol
it's not like we haven't seen Canadian or American international rosters by-pass young stars for veterans performing at a lower level at the time of selection.
