Why make a claim without evidence....explain me that.

People need to accept that they don't have the answer to some things and inventing answers has plagued mankind from the beginning and continues to do so when you look at what is happening south of the border.
A more reasonable answer is that Michkov had help at home as the KHL prohibits players contracts being bought out by the NHL. It is not like he was playing for SKA anyways.

The correct answer is we don't know and we require further evidence. The "how do you explain" assertion has lead to nothing but conspiracy theories and mass disinformation. Stating that Philadelphia factually gave SKA a pile of money is a disingenuous and is an entirely unsubstantiated claim that needn't be encouraged. Perhaps you could phrase it as a suspicion of yours but not as a fact.

Why would St-Petersbugh give away their best young star player (beside Demidov) with two seasons left on his contract ? Try to explain me that ?

Occam's razor.
Michkov very likely bought out his own contract, which is allowable per KHL rules.
Now, how did he pay the $1 million termination fee (2/3 of his remaining contract)? Who knows.

Demidov does NOT have the same option. That opportunity is long gone.
So to assume Montreal can just throw bags of cash at SKA to get Demidov is not rooted in reality.

It’s had no actual impact on any Russian player coming over since the war started. Zero.
The situation isn't the same as it was before and is certainly trending towards something entirely different which could have a lasting ripple effect across many fields. Look at it this way, 4 months ago we weren't booing the American anthem, yet here we are.
Anyway, I don't think this is a point worth debating as it is entirely based on hypotheticals. I'll continue to enjoy dem Demidov highlights until he signs. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome both on and off the ice.

Why? If he and SKA are willing why can't he buy out the remainder of his contract and leave after SKA is eliminated,

Because the legal time window for a buy-out is over.
A buy-out is a unilateral form of termination, btw.

Montreal is definitely better off not burning a year from Demidov's ELC for no reason.

It's not Montreal's fault Demidov had a contract signed until this year and we need to take into account that Montreal had to wait an extra year before having access to Demidov.

I think he will be happy to come over to North America, period, starting next season.

Habs can't be burning Demidov's ELC contract, there won't enough games to play for it. He's under 20, that means his ELC slide unless he plays 10 NHL games (playoffs do not count).

Get him in for the final 9 games of the season and then let him run wild in the playoffs and lead us to a Cup. Then we can pay him ELC money for three years after that!

;)
