van Riemsdyk - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Kulemin
MacArthur - Grabovski - Frattin
Komarov - McClemment - McLaren (Komarov/McClemment need to see a lot of ice-time)

Gunnarsson - Phaneuf
Liles - Franson
Gardiner - Fraser

Your defense pairings are kinda weird. No way Carlyle breaks up Fraser-Franson and no way he puts both Liles and Gardiner in the lineup. Liles is a possibility, but I bet Gardiner doesn't see any icetime unless the Leafs get down in the series early.

I don't know if I actually want CBC to take the Leafs if they are allowing Healy to comment on our games lol

Same here. Healy is probably chomping at the bit for this one. He'll trash us to no end. That's how he gets his jollies. If the Bruins win the series, he'll probably cream himself from excitement.

The forwards lines are pretty much right on IMO.

I think we'll see the same pairing though.

If you really want to hear some ****, tune in to the Team1200 now that the Sens are in the playoffs. Their stupidity meter goes off the ****ing charts.

If you tune into the local sports channel for any team; you are bound to encounter a lot of stupidity. It's almost a guarantee.

ok, so, a bit of analysis. we know Leafs in 6/7 already!
THE RISE OF KESSEL

1) Boston is a team we should be able to have decent possession against and utilize our speed - hopefully there won't be any games where we get doubled in shots.
2) We can probably win the special teams battle as well.
3) The most important thing to me is that both of our top lines can score and score big. Chara can't guard everyone - I'm sure he'll be facing off against Kessel's line to start. Hopefully, Kadri and Lupul will be able to make the Bruins pay for that.
4) Though I'm sure the attention will be swarming around Kessel (which, though I love him, is not a good thing for him) the most important Leaf in the series is obviously Reimer. If he's the better goalie, we will win this series. And he has a good chance of doing just that.

On the flip side:
  1. Rask has the capability to steal games at times, Reimer, not so much
  2. Boston is a very good faceoff team. We'll be starting without the puck more often than not. We need to be hard on the forecheck to make them cough the puck up.
  3. Julien is as much of a matcher as Carlyle is probably. Kessel will see a lot of Chara. Our secondary scoring will be the key to this series.
  4. Bruins have enough physical guys who can play the game. We have a couple of plugs who will likely ride the bench/pressbox for most of the series. With the exception of Fraser that is.

Mclaren can play a huge role for us intimidation wise if carlyle uses him right. I think mclaren can play more complete min than orr because Mclaren has more puck handling ability and More size. MCalren should be told to go and hit chara every chance he gets. We all know chara wont do **** against people who are tougher and his own size

Huh? I'm asking a legitimate question here and you are just mocking it. It's very possible that CBC would take the MTL vs. OTT series over the Leafs because it's two Canadian teams.

I am just asking this because of the time conflict we are going to have with the other series...

No mocking, but there's no chance CBC doesn't take Leafs. Leafs are by far the largest draw and well after almost a decade you can bet 100% they will take leafs games.

That's true but it seems the Team1200 imbeciles have it dialed. Remember these are the same individuals who accuesed Domi of beating his wife.

Just an opinion. They've been trash lately so breaking em up may be beneficial. I guess we have to hope O'Byrne/Kostka  are good enough.

As I just said, gotta hope OB is solid.

Faceoffs are a worry, especially if Bozak is not 100%, if his shoulder is the problem, those don't go away in a week. Just speculating but I am surmising his shoulder took the brunt of the hit.

1)? 2-0 win over new jersey says hi, as well as a couple other ones

did you watch any leafs game near the end of the year where we were outshot badly, reimer essentially won those games for us, no doubt

This.

CBC knows where its bread and butter comes from. It sure as hell ain't from Sens games.

And if Chara drops the gloves that is 5 less mins of him on ice i.e. extra chance for our scorers to do some damage!

The faceoffs worry me more than anything here. if Kadri's got any lucky rabbit feet at home that he's been saving, now would be the time. i'd take 45% from him in a heartbeat.

Geeze a lot of scared Leafs fans in this thread, quite embarrassing folks, where's the BeLeafs?

Embarrassing? It's beyond embarrassing, its completely shameful.
I can't fathom how after being out of the playoffs for 9 years, that a fan of a team would snivel and whine about who they have to play before the puck is even dropped in the first game.
And these are the first guys to moan about entitlement on the Leafs.
You wanna be taken seriously? You wanna compete for a Stanley Cup? ThenSTFU about who you have to play and take all comers.
Pathetic.

Ya both teams are slumping but the Bruins idea of slumping is outshooting it's opponent 36-22. I'm not sure we have a game this season outshooting an opponent by that much.

The Bruins are a containable and vulnerable team. They play a typical heavy game but their finish in the offensive zone looks like there's a lot to be desired.

Bergeron and Marchand, returning from concussions
Lucic, terrible all year
Seguin, demoted to the third line
Jagr is old slow not producing lately

They're either hurt, snoozing or slumping. We can take them.
