Tampa's last 2 games vs OTT showed why they're still Top 3 in the Atlantic. Both close games (till the last 5 mins last night) but their experience shows in games like that. See them doing the same vs DET.
Detroit has already shown they can defeat Tampa on the road recently so I expect them to be just as competitive at home tomorrow.

The east is so weak that they are really not out of it... they just suck ass and deserve to be out.
I don't know about that. A wild card team from the east like Detroit just swept all 4 western NHL teams (2nd ranked Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Seattle) they played on their western trip and have also defeated the West's top team Winnipeg away recently.

Vancouver and Calgary are 8/9 in the west with points percentages of .565 and .546, respectively.

Almost identical to Detroit and CBJ who are .565 and .545.

And all these teams in the east don't have the likes of San Jose, Chicago, Nashville, or even Seattle to play regularly. Last place in the east is still better in pts % than all four of those.

If they averaged 1 pt per game the rest of the season

Washington - 106
Carolina - 96
Toronto - 95
Florida - 94
New Jersey - 93
Ottawa - 90
Tampa - 90
Detroit - 89

Columbus - 87
Boston - 87
NY Islanders - 86
NY Rangers - 84
Montreal - 84
Pittsburgh - 80
Philadelphia - 80
Buffalo - 78

Rangers have a lot of work to do.
With 2 regulation losses this week they are probably done.

I mean losing to the Crosby less Pens last night. Yikes but at least the Pens have the NYR first this year.

Implosion.

They started 12-4-1 and are 10-5-3 since, so basically, their entire season was ruined by the one of the most epic losing skids of the modern era for a good team.

Did you watch the game? Wings dominated TBL, but lost due to goalies giving up 4 weak goals on 7 shots; proving the goalies are already on 4-Nations vacation.

Poster was right, skaters were competitive. ABC broadcast said Wings are the best team in the NHL since their coaching change. If Wings keep playing like this, they will be a sleeper in the POs.

Here's to their 3rd incoming 7 game winning streak.

Buffalo had a chance to win 5 in a row against Nashville tonight and start to get some recognition for the last WC spot but their choke job probably has them out for good.

And just like that they are now tied 5-5 lmao.

edit: now 5-4? shit I keep jixing those mofos

I swear they just love messing with my emotions, personally. Somehow true for all Sabres fans. Talent is there, we hired a bum ass cooked coach to lead ‘em and surprise surprise we lose a key game to slow ass Nashville.

At least your management tries, good luck. We’ll always have Pizzetta’s (or whatever his name is) stick ride.
