Not sure honestly.. mostly just equating these moments with other like moments (Game 7's, Ebugs, rivalry games, last game before a break, the pp for the last year and a half) - all things where pressure shows the weak-bellied leaders of this team are ill-equipped to raise their intensity level to meet the moment.

It must be so frustrating for Vancouver fans. Lankinen has been stellar in relief. But seeing Demko walk out on his team time and again with a hangnail gets tiring.

Almost as frustrating for Leafs fans hoping for accountability with this team.

Did OEL even miss a shift after that penalty. Marner ducking hits and coughing up the puck. Riding pine for a shift or two might give them opportunity to think about what they're doing wrong but I doubt it.

Marner would just use that time to sulk.

Soft forwards with overrated skill who completely fold at any sign of adversity. A defense that can't stop a cycle or clear the net. And a coach who doesn't hold anyone's feet to the fire for poor performance.

The Leafs are about as playoffs ready as I've ever seen them.

Games against Ottawa and Vancouver are automatic losses for the Leafs. No matter how good we are and no matter how bad they are, they will always find a way to win against us. They take the games against the leafs very seriously.

If you saw the game it was pretty even and either team could've won. As Berube said the 1st period Vancouver was the better team, the 2nd the Leafs were the better team and the 3rd was even. The trouble is they had a massive advantage on us the first and third period, we had a slight advantage in the second. The third wasn't "even" but we did have a good look or two on the 6on4

Im not overrreacting because of the loss at all but I don’t think this team is a contender. They are slow and their bottom six is not deep to chip in.

Nah these last couple months are just mounting, the team just kind of is what it is - not really any different than previous years. A 2nd or 3rd place finish in the Atlantic, early exit from the playoffs of course, and a whole lot of nonsense about how we need to pay Marner $14M+ because how could we possibly let go of this illustrious winning core.
