Even if Kreider never becomes a superstar, a 6'3, 235 pound guy who can skate like the wind, is strong on his skates and willing to park in front of the net is going to be a very interesting package.

But, as has been said, he is still a pretty raw package and a work in progress.

By next year he could be a legit first liner. The comparisons to Ovechkin are puzzling.

Kreider is much better than Ovechkin defensively. Ovi is detrimental in that department. But Ovi can score...

Other than Zuccarello i though kreider was one of the few forwards who actually showed up last night. Although he didnt score he created some good chances. He had one terrific shot that Fleaury made a ridiculous save on. Kreider needs a good passer on his line. i though stepan would be that guy but stepan is having a brutal yaer and his passing skills are questionable

Some peopl e acted like ***** so you are being an ass. Very third grade.

That is your opinion.
There IS payback, IMO.
Karma.
What goes around, comes around. Judge not, lest you be judged.

I have no prob that many disagreed with me. I am not rubbing it in as to THEM.

I am entitled to redress vs those who were arguably cruel.
That gives me the right to fight fire with water. Definitively.

What you consider "3rd grade" could also be viewed as, under the circumstances, given the cruelty comments, basis for obtaining justice, giving comeuppance, not allowing a bully to get away with it.

Funny that you cannot understand that there is no payback in reality, here. It seems sort of sad.
There IS a payback. It is not necessary for forgiveness or the advanced trait of mercy. But it is necessary for justice when those who offend make no contrition for their conduct, which is pre-requisite.

It is a lesson to suffer the shame of reprisal for reprehensible conduct. Haters gonna hate. Those who are ridiculed, especially when it is so clearly evident upon a preponderance of evidence as I clearly said would be the case that they are right, should not be forced to suffer in silence.

People disagree with me all the time :amazed:. (Shock, they also often agree with me :amazed::amazed:.)

Neither of those positions have to be highlighted without an exceptional reason, but this qualifies.

The next time someone is excessively harsh and disrespectful to you, should I ignore it? Or should we all step up for justice.

Kreider needs to get the consistency down now. Dont get me wrong, hes a top 3 bright spot on this wretched team this season, but hes been akin to scoring/being a force in one game and then going radio silent for 5 more.

remember he is still technically a rookie so consistency will come with time. However i feel he has been pretty consistent since his call up. I still feel he is most dangerous when he is a with a great passer(Zucc). His forechecking and defense has improved drastically but they need to somehow start feeidn him when he is rushing to teh net. Too many times over the past 3-4 weeks i have seen him open going hard to teh net and stepan/nash miss him

I'd like to see him work on his shot a bit more and try picking the corners now and then. He almost always goes for just over the pad when he shoots and while that's better than shooting it into the goalies chest, he could probably be well served by mixing that up a bit. If he could rip a few top shelf then it'll keep goalies guessing.

I think that comes with time/experience. Although his shot is quite good. I still think he is most dangerous right in front of the net.

Getting an analysis on this post from a legit professional would be interesting.

For older Ranger fans, his sheer strength reminds me of Ron Harris...

Your sense of scale is a little whacked. You have painted yourself as a victim of Shakespearean proportions.

Unless you are Kreider's lover or mother, it is hard to understand why you are so invested in this.

There is no karma on Internet message boards, and no, if I am ever getting attacked verbally here, I won't need anyone to rescue me, but thanks for the offer.

if we got this play from kreider last year as well as MZA's play we maybe maybe couldv'e brought the boston series to game 7 and maybe maybe maybe won hahah

all in all this what we envisioned in kreider from day one..good thing we stayed with him

I think the guy takes a lot of abuse over his ridiculous trade proposals and he feels like him finally being right about something validates his posts. But honestly even a broken clock has a better track record than him. 2>1.

Hey Batman, chill out.

This is true. Awesome he is finding a way to do that at the NHL level. Fun to watch.

It almost appeared to me that Franson gave up on that play because he didn't want to get run the **** over by something that must have looked like a high speed train. Kreider with his size and strength has speed enough to intimidate.

My own view is that Kreider is showing awareness of how to be tough to play against.
Granted, he has the gift of exemplary physical prowess along with talent, but we have seen many skilled players who do not have it in the head/heart.
I wonder who Kreider has as a mentor. If he is figuring this out on his own, good on him.

Sometimes I wonder if he is isn't having a bit of fun and trolling the heck out of us all.

I completely agree with this.

To me it seems he really did not start playing a physical NHL game until after the recall. Since then he's been much more physically engaged and his play arced upward.

The speed combined with the physical strength gave him a lot more scoring chances. His sheer talent gives him the ability to convert.
Now he's much more comfortable. That gives him a very good chance of refining his game and becoming even more effective.

The pool video continues to astound me. I've spent a fair amount of time in the water. Unless I had seen that video, I would not have thought it possible had someone attempted to described it to me.
