It’s Not Too Early to Fire Kevyn Adams and Lindy Ruff

Kinda hard to blame Lindy for this.

The shit runs deep and strong in this organization.
Yup. All the higher ups need to be fired. A full cleaning of house. When you have your captain fist fighting players in practice they isn't good either. People tried to spin it on how wow he really cares. But that's cope. A team should be in unison with each other. They clearly aren't. At some point it's not the coach. It's the higher ups.

Adams should have been fired right after the 22-23 trade deadline. Losing culture permeates when the GM doesn't support the players when they do well.

That team makes the playoffs if Adams gave them better RHD depth than Jokiharju - Lyubushkin - Casey Fitzgerald.

Kinda hard to put this all at Ruff's feet. The forward corps just doesn't have enough game breakers and their D has some real talent on it but it's still probably at an age range where they can't really control a game.

Goaltending wise they made a big mistake in ever letting Ullmark go.

It's not like they have no talent, but this is a tough league and there's a bunch of other teams that just have probably more firepower than them upfront.

Kevyn Adams has not had a cohesive vision for this team since day one. Every time he speaks, its meaningless platitudes. The Lindy move wreaked of a franchise that literally had no idea what else to do.

Imagine - they scapegoated Jeff Skinner for their defensive woes that all remain there today, except now we have a player in Edmonton that is now on our cap for 6 (SIX!!!!) more years. They did nothing with the cap space that they created from his buyout. Was he a perfect player, definitely not. But he was consistently a good goal scorer.

Adams has been a yes-man to the incompetent owner that came up through other parts of the organization. If he gets fired, it be like getting fired from your parents from the family business. But it has to happen at some point - he is not capable of building a team.

The amount of high picks this team has had for years and the fact that they still can't get it together is laughable.

Completely serious, they should poach Shanny from Toronto. He is likely out soon anyways, and he did change the culture. Leafs were the same unable to make playoffs and being pathetic every year then giving us up in garbage time.

He will clean up the org and replace almost everyone from scouts to trainers to anything associated with the suck.
Entertaining thought: Coach Phil Kessel.

I had this feeling that Lindy could be the GM and replace Adams as early as this coming offseason.

Maybe he'd do the dual HC/GM role, which we haven't seen in a very long time, outside of when a GM came down to be the interim head coach for the rest of the season after firing the previous head coach.

But now I'm wondering if Lindy Ruff in Buffalo is just gonna wind up being a reunion/retirement tour. Similar to when Hitchcock came back to Dallas for one more year (he replaced Ruff) at the end of his career. Finishing where it all started (he did wind up becoming interim head coach for the Oilers the next season) for him in the NHL. Or even how Jacques Martin came back to Ottawa last year, even though he was just an interim and Ottawa wasn't actually his first head coaching job in the league.
If this saves Pegula-bucks it's 100% what's going to happen.

And Reinhart and Montour. Something is wrong when players keep blossoming after they leave your team. They had all the pieces to be elite.
