I wonder if we can trade his rights to Toronto for anything of value? I wouldn't get too upset or worked up over a guy who does well overseas coming back to the NHL. Bud Holloway is a good example. Awesome player in the SHL, comes back to NA and can't crack a weak Montreal forward group.
Don't think Toronto wants any fringe prospects. They are loaded with better prospects already - they can ice two AHL teams - both would sweep Bridgeport.
Outside of Marner, Nylander and whomever they draft this year, they don't have elite prospects, but some really solid depth NHLers. My favourites being Connor Brown, Zack Hyman, Nikita Soshnikov, Brendan Leipsic, Josh Leivo - Kaspari Kapanen will need time in the AHL.
