He'd have to waive a full NTC for that to go through, so don't lol too hardHorvat + Dobson for Petey
I’d LOL so hard if Horvat went back after dumping on Vancouver.

Barzal too
So his play it self isn’t different just the production hasn’t been there basically.
Canucks would take Dobson/Barzal over Cozens, Quinn and a 1st. They’ve already said they aren’t rebuilding as long as Quinn is around.Thought are that the Sabres need to make the playoffs. They get an experienced right shot, 1st pairing defenseman and improve down the middle.
Islanders need to do something or burn it down. They get a prime 1C and a high scoring RW
Canucks are probably past the point of recovery but Hughes is young enough for a rebuild. They get a potential Boeser replacement and very high pick, in order to start a quick turn around.
Blocking a shot that caused an injury is now long term complication? Yeah, he’s not Mark Stone…Is that Barzal thing the same kneecap he busted while goofing around back in his draft year? Related long-term complications starting to hit?
he took a slapper to the kneecap trying to help close out a game and immediately left the ice. not sure if it's the same kneecap but this isn't like a maintenance thing. Is that Barzal thing the same kneecap he busted while goofing around back in his draft year? if the canucks get dobson, they sure as heck are trading him for anything with seth jones in it*disclaimer I am not one that heavily values Pettersson or Dobson and I see the value in Jones retained to a decent number behind Hronek
NYI - Elias Pettersson
VAN - Jp Pageau, Danny Nelson, Noah Dobson
CHI - Noah Dobson
VAN - Ryan Greene, Seth Jones (%25 retained)
Same as the Miller trade, Canucks chop up their dollar centerman for 4 quarters.
Jp Pageau - RHC signed 5.0 x2
Danny Nelson - 19 LHC drafted 2023
Ryan Greene - 21 RHC drafted 2022
Seth Jones - RHD retained 7.125 x6
Canucks save 300k once Juulsen gets sent down.

He took the shot off the kneecap and could barely move. I give him credit for getting his body in the way and trying to do what it takes to preserve a lead as an offense first type of player.I was wondering if it was related to the kneecap injury he suffered horsing around in the locker room in his draft year. But yeah, sounds like it's just another weirdly coincidental unlucky event for one of his kneecaps.
I doubt it, that pick is currently Misa, right now at least. The Sabres might value that package over Dobson/Barzal though. That fills their top 2 center spots for the next decade.Canucks would take Dobson/Barzal over Cozens, Quinn and a 1st. They’ve already said they aren’t rebuilding as long as Quinn is around.
Horrible for islanders. I’m against trading Dobson. He’s a 6,4 right handed defensman who can skate really well and just put up 70pts as a 24 year old. Isles ain’t adding Andy high end assets with him like Danny Nelson who is a B+ prospect.*disclaimer I am not one that heavily values Pettersson or Dobson and I see the value in Jones retained to a decent number behind Hronek

Doubt what, that Quinn isn’t sticking around if the Canucks trade Pettersson with the primary piece in return being a draft pick?I doubt it, that pick is currently Misa, right now at least. Then pull an Adam Fox/Patrick Kane/JT Miller and say it’s only for one team and that team is NJ,If the Canucks trade away Pettersson, Miller, and Horvat just to end up with Chytil as their #1 center, Hughes should demand a trade on the spot.
His play is definitely different this year. Speed is way down and his shot, when he uses it, is not nearly as hard. I think he ultimately he needs a full offseason of conditioning to get back to where he should be. His confidence is completely shot at this point. So his play it self isn’t different just the production hasn’t been there basically.
Mat Barzal? Are you looking at games played and forgetting about COVID? He's had two injured years over the 8 in his career. If Canucks trade EP40 now, when he's playing like a 3C, then they must believe he's irredeemable in Vancouver, and his value will only sink.
Which will be shocking to most of the fanbase. This is ludicrous, to go from 2.5 1C to 0 in 3 years. Even if they manage to get Barzal back, it will be a severe downgrade. Guy had 1 healthy season in the past 6 years.
