He is probably what he is at this point since he's never addressed the strength problem. You'd think getting benched as a rookie because his back and stomach were too weak to play in the NHL woulda had him reach for the creatine and protein powder, but from what I've heard off the record is he's less in love with hockey and competing and improving and more okay with it being his job so he can enjoy life otherwise.

Hard to motivate someone like that in a sports setting. What can ya do.
