I mean I’m not sure there’s a thing Nemec could’ve done about that. Maybe go for it with his glove. But it happened so quick and there was no time to react. Engvall was coming with speed and while Nemec was standing at the point.

If anything that’s on Jack for the pass.

There can be multiple people who made a mistake on the play, Nemac made one by not just dropping back as soon as he saw an airborne puck along with an opposing player skating at him. If he batted it down with his glove or stick, risky but no harm no foul. The safe play would have been to turn around right away and start skating.

It's not a big deal, it's preseason, everyone expects things like this, but this is exactly what playing in the NHL will teach you to do and more importantly not to do. Jack went through the same thing.

I like Torts. May be not a great option to coach Devils, but overall I like him.
