Back to the Roster Building Thread to figure out how Lehkonen or Ryan Carpenter will help our 5v5 scoring
Even so, is he going to be able to jump right back in and be impactful? He is supposed to start skating in a week. He will be back for playoffs.
People need to tone their expectations by saying they can’t wait for Kakko to come back, like he’s a savior. The guy has 14 f***ing points on the year. He’ll come back and be rusty, slow, and passive like he usually is. Kakko won’t give this team a shot in the arm, it’ll be more like a bandaid by removing another scrub like McKegg out of the lineup.
Cynical coaching. “They can’t call everything!” And for some reason the refs never seem upset by that. In fact, they appear to enjoy being clowned. It got that guy a Stanley cup and a huge contract though so who am I to criticize.I would love to know how Trotz and his staff teach their roster how to get away with the amount of shit they do each time. Seriously. They've turned it into a f***ing art form making the refs turn a blind eye
I’m not saying that, I’m saying people need to tone down their expectations for Kakko when he finally does come back. This isn’t a Kreider or a Mika coming back from injury. Kakko’s impact has been minimal for 3 years now. That’s been my point.Hunt and these passengers are not helping. It's the right direction for Rooney and Kakko to come back.
I don't know but by the time the playoffs begin he will have been playing for a few weeks.Even so, is he going to be able to jump right back in and be impactful?
Kakko will help. So will Vatrano. He’s not huge but he is willing and stocky. They need one more middle six guy who can score in the playoffs. That’s why I think Kessel is a good idea. Or someone similar. Maybe a Maroon type I guess.I don't understand this talk. This is what the playoffs are going to look like:
1. Solid goaltending against
2. Odd calls
3. Low scoring
4. Tie broken late in the 3rd
Bonus: Pitt won, Wash won.
This kind of game pisses me right off. We are going to have to overcome these come late April.
Rooney and Kakko are 2 NHL players that get AHL players out of the lineup. It helps the entire forward depth and Kakko is a good player and I think a healthy Kakko will make an impact.I’m not saying that, I’m saying people need to tone down their expectations for Kakko when he finally does come back. This isn’t a Kreider or a Mika coming back from injury. Kakko’s impact has been minimal for 3 years now. That’s been my point.
No clue who that is but there are posters here I’ve posted with 15 years ago .I’m pretty positive Kocur26 is Ricky aka DaGoon
I don't blame you one bit. They were talking about it in the post game as well. The crusher was the elbow to Lindgren's face that drew blood and then they score on the play going the other way. Grade F officiating.Just one time I’d love to see the Trouba train run Barzal over. Guy is such a little puke. Draws the “hook” on Goodrow, and then he gets walled off and doesn’t like it because, you know, he doesn’t like getting hit, and then he cross checks a guy and no call. I don’t know what it is with that guy. But man, I’ve watched every game this season and I have yet to see a game reffed as poorly as that one was tonight. I’m so ******* livid.

Of course. But beyond the numbers he just balances the lineup nicely.People need to tone their expectations by saying they can’t wait for Kakko to come back, like he’s a savior.
