I know Sheary's cap hit is near irrelevant but cap space is cap space, it's certainly not doing the heavy lifting in the offer it's more of a throw in but maybe on the second half, would be interesting who gets offered i supposeSheary's cap hit is basically buried and comes off the books next year anyway. No reason to package with Howard. I think a lot of teams are beating this offer in TB's eyes by dangling a decent defensive prospect.
While the value is pretty fair, I still just think TB would prefer someone who is going to be able to play sooner. I may be delusional but I would think the Kings, who are in need of some youth and some scoring touch, would entertain the idea of Howard + picks of some kind for Brandt Clarke. Maybe a similar offer to Philly for Cam York. Something like that. I don't think JBB is just going to sell him for a draft pick who might or might not be Isaac Howard level in 3 years when the window will probably be closed.Just make it Howard for #17 overall, that looks more simple and fair to me.
So a first and a fourth for Howard and a year of ShearyIsaac Howard + Connor Sheary (minor dump) + 2025 2nd for 17th overall + 2025 4th
Assumes Habs have spoken to the player and can sign him
That would be a big no from the Kings. While the value is pretty fair, I still just think TB would prefer someone who is going to be able to play sooner. It's a stretch in the sense that LA would need to talk to Howard and if he agrees to play there, I don't see why they wouldn't. Clarke was scratched a ton over the past season and will be blocked from developing unless Gavrikov walks. Otherwise I honestly don't even think Brisebois will care if he ends up with the compensatory pick. That would be a big no from the Kings.
Tampa fans seem a little delusional on Howard’s value
Sure but the Bolts think their window is now they would be looking for a player one would think.Just make it Howard for #17 overall, that looks more simple and fair to me.
The Kings may have some interest but definitely not at the cost of Clarke. While the value is pretty fair, I still just think TB would prefer someone who is going to be able to play sooner. So a bad coach making bad decisions makes the player available. Also Gavirkov is a LD so that has nothing to do with Clarke who’s a RD.It's a stretch in the sense that LA would need to talk to Howard and if he agrees to play there, I don't see why they wouldn't. Seems fair providing Howard will sign with the Habs. He’s coming 22 next season so he would fit in with the Habs young core group.Isaac Howard + Connor Sheary (minor dump) + 2025 2nd for 17th overall + 2025 4th

don't think he has that value personally but I was in between a 2nd and 3rd coming back from TampaJust make it Howard for #17 overall, that looks more simple and fair to me.
Clarke played 78 RS games. He missed 4 out of 88 total games for the Kings. It's a stretch in the sense that LA would need to talk to Howard and if he agrees to play there, I don't see why they wouldn't.
