I know, kind of togue in cheek..I am really tired of this right wing pull ...it gets really old...he should be playing left wing, cutting inside to use his best weapon quick shot, unless he gets stretch pass through the middle his speed is for nothing

I was one of the guys really hoping he'd come back this season and show us why we got him. Was high on him. It's just not happening.

LW Kapanen is interesting.

I also am upset he doesn't get the chance to penalty kill. I know our PK has been great but the guy was penalty killer on the zleafs and looked good.

That L4 shift was exactly the reason why Sully keeps playing L4 and ZAR/Simon. They are good at wasting time in the offensive zone. They just played against the Hughes unit and just spend their whole shift battling behind the opponents net. If they do that thats a win without scoring and all Sully cares about. And they are doing a good job with that, especially ZAR. Thats the reason his advanced stats are so good

well given our depth scoring sucks otherwise, maybe he should be changing his tactics…

Still think all things being equal once TB is back Pens have the makings of good 3rd and 4th lines unlike the last number of years. Those jerseys look like an trick illusion eye test.

Yeah, I don’t understand why Simon is a whipping boy. It’s not like he is Jankowski out there who didn’t score and was a liability.

I also wanted to shout out the 4th line there for a very solid shift.

They’re just forcing it now. He can’t get 500 soon enough.

they are shooting perimeter shots…only Carter had one shot in the blue paint…the rest of the shots are from way away…doesn’t matter, I’m moving on to the Puppy Bowl, which should be a lot more exciting than this game lol

too much perimeter shooting
Our forwards love getting the zone and passing back to the D so they can fling a shot.

We don’t get in the lane or obstruct the goalie’s view in any way in those scenarios. It’s like we don’t believe in it outside of the PP.

Did I hear Brock Boeser for Zacha?

Boeser has a QO of $7.5 mill or he walks to UFA. That's for a guy who's comparable statistically to Kapanen at 5on5 the last 3 seasons

breaking the defense up...works when you have someone around the net...

they do it way too often…and while we’ve had some guys near the net, those shots were no where close to them or on net…we only had seven shots on net that period

Caps is losing again and Carolina lost last night…we have a big chance this game to move into first in the division if they can stop treating every journeyman goalie like he’s next Hasek…
