Is there any team that would benefit from a Quantity/Quality trade?

Jason Spezza? I heard a rumour that if he went to Nashville, it would have been Jarnkrok, Ekholm, and a 2nd round pick or so. Not great for his caliber, however far better than Chiasson, Paul, Guptil, and a 2nd round pick...

What was reported on HF Sens board was Hornqvist + Spaling + 1st round pick

Dallas was the 2nd best package, unfortunately. But whatever, Spezza was going to leave as UFA one year later.

I feel this screams Vancouver. They badly need to restock the system and not just let the Sedins fade out. They owe them a shot at a cup and also should consider exploring trading them for a big haul

Don't expect a big haul.

A pair of $7 million cap hits to the same team. That makes it very difficult to pull off.

Plus, I can't imagine any contender needing both of them. Unless, they lost a player to injury near the deadline.

Detroit could definitely benefit from a trade like this. They need defense and young centers and really just impact players so the more rolls of the dice hey get the better. Moving Tatar, Nyquist, Green, etc. for Lloyd of prospects and picks would be the ideal way to kickstart the rebuild they desperately need to embrace.
