Quick research shows you’ve been saying this since 18? Yeah 18 months ago. So not even two full years lol
You think a cursory search of HFBoards for my posts is definitive of how long I've been saying something?

Behold, the great minds who defend Rasmus Dahlin.

EDIT:
I just went back and quick search shows that I've been bashing Dahlin since early 2021.

I still have the THN draft issue with his face and generational defenseman as caption on the cover. Where Quinn Hughes was barely in top 10.
To be fair he was a generational Dman prospect at the time and sure some of his development was stunted but he has had long stretches of Norris candidate play then some others not that high.

Of course all the Finnish weirdos come out of the woodwork to post their ridiculous bullshit in a Dahlin thread.
Maybe because I'm stoned but your using weird with that avatar..........just saying.

I was more concerned about Lindy Ruff's stupidity. Bro first wasted their time out really early to rest the top guys for the PP. He could've just run in PP2 for 30 seconds and then throw in the top guys for the last 1:30mins of PP. Then he proceeds to challenge a hand pass when there was 7:00mins left in the third, which was never gonna go their way. Well, it didnt and got penalized for that. Oh yeah and they could have used the time out towards the end of the third while being only one goal down.
What a clown.

Dahlin was playing like a 10 year pro veteran at 16-17 years old in Sweden. Size, IQ, skill, strength, and defensive ability at his age was unheard of.

He’s not a dumb player as far as hockey sense goes. He just hasn’t developed the defensive part of his game to where it should’ve been and that’s a result of Buffalo being a tire fire of an organization more than anything.

Put Dahlin in Vegas or Florida and he’s up there in the convo for a Norris and as a perennial top 3 dman in this league.

Taking dumb and untimely penalties is his one true bad quality. It seems he's an emotional player that gets caught up in the intensity of the game. He plays on the edge usually and when the game elevates in intensity he starts stepping over the line.

He needs to be more disciplined, he reminds me of a younger Marchand.

What about the play against the Panthers, where Barkov had the no look pass to Reinhart for the PP goal? What reason was he following Barkov on that play, when Barkov was already defended fine on the play.

I have been saying this for YEARS.
Dahlin is one of the most irresponsible and absent-minded dman I've ever seen receive significant ice time. Guy is a disaster against the forecheck, and he very frequently ends up on his ass when scrambles after realizing that he's 10 feet out of position.
Sergachev fits that description

Dahlin is an excellent player all around EXCEPT for his penalties. That last play was just odd. He has had a slow start to the season after his injury in camp, but he is a very smart player who is definitely emotional. He also got the C this year and that could factor into his mental state a bit.
