It’s like a team doing well without their starting goalie, or having their defensive group decimated by injuries or not having your centre core healthy for the vast majority of the season… Team’s need to find a way to win when they are not getting bailed out and not running on all cylinders, Ottawa is staying afloat right now doing that.Nor is it realistic to expect Stutzle to produce at a 55 point pace. It’s a slump, and the team is still finding ways to win games despite offensive struggles, you are doing some mental gymnastics. If your top players aren’t going offensively and you are still winning games, that’s not a bad sign.
Ottawa would be over the moon with the past ten game record if let’s say Stützle was injured. I’m sure they are also over the moon that they can win without their 1-2 offensive punches playing well.
Imagine if Edmonton started consistently winning 1-0 hockey games while McDrai went cold while being able to still win 6-3 hockey games… that team would be scary. Not comparing Stu and Chucky to McDrai but you get the point.
