being on pace for 70 points as a 19 year old russian player on a john tortorella team is pretty impressive even if 70 points is the new 50 points.
98 % of the NHL are "superstars"How many "superstars" are currently in the NHL in your opinion?
He will never be a Mcdavid level "dont care whos on my line i will just do it myself" type of superstar. But what he will be is an incredibly entertaining and talented player who will score a lot of points every season, especially if he gets someone that can play on his level in the middle. Im actually kinda sad that he isn't with prime Giroux, that duo would've been insane, both can pass and both can score.

Yes maybe but it's a long season and scoring tends to tighten up later on but 70 point pace was the expectation for me as he is an older 19 year old from his draft with some elite skills and decent players in Philly.Did not expect near a point per game right away. I thought 50-60 points and it looks like he’s gonna beat that.
Also have to factor in Torts, playing bottom 6, being scratched, learning a new culture, learning a new style of hockey.Yes maybe but it's a long season and scoring tends to tighten up later on but 70 point pace was the expectation for me as he is an older 19 year old from his draft with some elite skills and decent players in Philly.
Was torn between expected and better than expected. So went with better then,What do you think?
Sure but he has also played in a pro league and the bottom 6 thing was like scratched games not so much. Also have to factor in Torts, playing bottom 6, being scratched, learning a new culture, learning a new style of hockey.
Part of this is to lure in bets and money as injuries do happen.I think that's why many tempered expectations for this year (Vegas setting line at 46.5 points) and really expected him to really shine his sophomore year.
Yeah but you know what i meant? I wasn't saying McDavid as in what he has done, but more like how he drives his line. Actually i think you know what i meant but felt the need to just disagree for whatever reason.McDavid is already if not close to a top 5 all time player, no one is ever that, once every 25 years maybe you get one of those guys lol.

How many 19 year olds are putting up 70 points in the nhl?50-60 points would’ve been a good prediction 10 years ago. Talents like this are capable of more as rookies in this new NHL.
I changed my vote. Now he’s playing as expected.Worse than expected, he has to improve and score at a point per game rate
How many 19 year olds are putting up 70 points in the nhl?
what about mcdavid? has he been mcdavid?33-37-70 was my prediction
Pace is 32-36-68
So exactly as predicted
No player in NHL history is or has been McDavid.
He’s not on Kaprizov level yetHe's playing as was advertised going into his draft. He dominated every level he played and looks like he will inherit the mantle of the next greatest russian forward in the NHL from Ovi and Kucherov.
