There isn't a long tradition of McDavid-level players not winning simply because there is not a long tradition of McDavid-level players existing.

That’s a pretty lame criticism, especially given the Oilers poor goaltending. His 5v5 GF% without Drai over the last 3 playoffs is 57% and his 5v5 GF% in the playoffs overall is 60.4%. Some bad numbers in a small sample without Draisaitl early in his career is basically meaningless.

This is one stupid take since the Pens won b2b in 2016 and 2017. In 2018 they lost to Ovi who won the cup.
