So you asserted something but won't back it up and expect to be taken seriously?

Good luck with that.
You don't even have any evidence to support your own position, unfortunately. No matter how you look at it, it seems that your own assertion is weaker than you'd like to believe.

That's like me saying flying spaghetti monster exists and that I find it interesting that nobody can provide any proof to the contrary.
incorrect. it's a common tactic on message boards to play pretend lawyer and minimize something that's obviously not going to be verified when it suits you, as if an overwhelming number of posts on any forum contains a link or verifiable source. the fact is that you have nothing to suggest otherwise, we both know it, and for the purposes of this board, my assertion is just as valid as yours

Prime for prime i take Jagr 10 out of 10 times. Nothing against Kucherov he's a fantastic player and one of the best of the modern era but prime Jagr was an absolute horse. His puck possession and protection skills were second to none. Very few could keep an offensive cycle going forever like Jagr did.

You assertion is just as valid as an unverifiable opinion as another unverifiable opinion, yes.

Not a fact though.

Each player has their elite skill set, Kucherov is one of the best cerebral and creative players in the modern era.

The thing with Jagr is that he was the clear cut best player in the league for a few years while Kucherov has had stiff competition, which influences peoples perception of the two.

to say Jagr was a passenger is insane.

I didn't say Jagr was a passenger. I never said he was bad in those playoffs. I said that he rode Lemieux's coattails.

Which he did. When Jagr was placed in the position to lead the team himself, he faltered.

My Best - Fantomas

He won an Art Ross with Jan Hrdina as his center. He carried some absolutely awful Pens teams to the playoffs. He did more than ride Lemieux’s coattails.

You need to consider the era Jagr played in as well.
He played much of his career in the dead puck era. And he was built for it. Impossible to knock off the puck.

Kucherov's an amazing player but Jagr's definitively better. His goalscoring alone wins the case for him. This isn't close. Kucherov is a few tiers lower. Yzerman and Sakic were better than Kucherov.
