You mean the consecutive games where he went on maybe one deep run (that was also his worst performance ironically)? I don't care about racking up a bunch of points in the early rounds. Everyone knows the deeper you go the tougher it gets.
That depends on how good your team is. For Kucherov sure since his team is usually a high seed.

The raw numbers include multiple seasons as a teenager and as a 39+ year old. From 21 to 35 he produced at a 42 goal, 99 point pace, and from ‘95 to ‘01 (his first to last Art Ross), he produced at a 47 goal, 101 point pace, which was the best in the league over that time frame, outside of Gretzky, who only played 28 games. He never had a signature run, and he sucked in both the 1996 and 2001 conference finals, which were the two best years for the Pens to make a run in his prime, but overall he showed he could produce at a high level in the playoffs.

He was as good in the playoffs as he was in the regular season vs. his peers, save for Sakic and Forsberg who closed the regular season gap offensively (along with being better defensively).

After impressing as a teenager, he was dissappointing in the couple of years where he and Mario could have made some noise but impressive without Mario.

Like Ovechkin and Bobby Hull, (and McDavid so far), he adds nothing to his legacy with his playoff resume like a Messier, Beliveau or Crosby, but doesn't lose anything either.

Nothing to add entirely,

But the eye test for both players needs to play a factor. Besides stats, Some people need to sit the f*** down and watch each players games to see their full impact

1) Jagr never won a cup without Lemieux and never came close. He won two cups by riding Mario's coattails.
Jagr was a strong contributor in 1991 in his age 18 season.

In 1992, he was spectacular. I don't know if there's ever been an age 19 playoff season as good as his. Mario's out with a broken hand thanks to Adam Graves and the Pens are down 2-1 to the President's Trophy winners. Jagr dominates Game Five with the GWG. GWG in Game Six. And then starts the Wales Final against Boston (sans Lemieux) with the GWG in OT in Game One.

Overall, 24 points in 21 GP and keeping the team alive while Mario out. Ron Francis and Tom Barrasso were also unreal during that stretch but to say Jagr was a passenger is insane.

My Best-Carey
