Is Kucherov on Jagr's level?

You mean the consecutive games where he went on maybe one deep run (that was also his worst performance ironically)? I don't care about racking up a bunch of points in the early rounds. Everyone knows the deeper you go the tougher it gets.

That depends on how good your team is. For Kucherov sure since his team is usually a high seed.

The raw numbers include multiple seasons as a teenager and as a 39+ year old. From 21 to 35 he produced at a 42 goal, 99 point pace, and from ‘95 to ‘01 (his first to last Art Ross), he produced at a 47 goal, 101 point pace, which was the best in the league over that time frame, outside of Gretzky, who only played 28 games. He never had a signature run, and he sucked in both the 1996 and 2001 conference finals, which were the two best years for the Pens to make a run in his prime, but overall he showed he could produce at a high level in the playoffs.

He was as good in the playoffs as he was in the regular season vs. his peers, save for Sakic and Forsberg who closed the regular season gap offensively (along with being better defensively).

After impressing as a teenager, he was dissappointing in the couple of years where he and Mario could have made some noise but impressive without Mario.

Like Ovechkin and Bobby Hull, (and McDavid so far), he adds nothing to his legacy with his playoff resume like a Messier, Beliveau or Crosby, but doesn't lose anything either.

Jagr won 4 Art Rosses in a row (and a 5th to boot). He's on the level with Crosby/Ovechkin/McDavid and while Kucherov is awesome I don't think he's quite there.

Lemeiux and Gretzky were well out of the Ross picture by the time Jagr was a consistent Ross contender.

As scorers, McDavid/MacKinnon/Draisaitl are a level above Forsberg, Sakic, Lindros, etc

Is he 50+ and still playing pro hockey?

Does he own a pro hockey team?

Does he have a band of fans that travel to watch him play?

Jagr's longevity puts him ahead right now. Kucherov will need to be very good for much longer to match Jagr in that regard.

Completely agree. I personally don't think he'll ever get close to Jagr's level.
