And I can’t see Dubas firing Keefe. Shanny might take over for rest of year.probably right

This is sad.
Keefe’s post game comments last night were embarrassing. It was like we were some rebuilding team trying to find a positive against a “cup contender”. Whatever he was trying to convey was pathetic. It also showed he’s now circling the wagons to save his job polishing turds. It reminded me of Babcock’s last days.
True, but the hockey market in Colorado and Vegas is nothing like the hockey market in Toronto. Hockey is king in Toronto and the pressure from media and fans far more intense. Deboer gets a long leash in Vegas because the team already exceeded the wildest expectations for a new franchise and Colorado has other, bigger major league teams to hold the spotlight. Not so in Toronto. The 54 year cup drought, the playoff win drought. The pressure carries over from previous seasons and just builds and builds.Colorado and Vegas look like crap too and both also did not do as well as expected in the playoffs.
Agreed. Was coming here to post that I'm wondering if the players are playing to get Keefe fired like they did Babs. If that's the case, Shanahan and Dubas need to step in and say enough is enough. You either buy in or you're out.Dubas didn't drag Keefe around from the Greyhounds to the Marlies to the Leafs to fire him within two years.
Plus, any team that eats through coaches that fast has issues beyond coaching.
No.
This management group isn't going to fire another coach. Generally speaking front offices get to go through two coaches before they themselves start to get removed.
They will either have to right the ship, or they all go down with it.
The team can't just get a coach fired every time things are hard for them. If they don't like the current situation, they have to play their way out of it
Can we dress him?And I can’t see Dubas firing Keefe. Shanny might take over for rest of year.
He just signed an extension so I really doubt this is the make it or break it game.
That's just to stop the lame duck comments and to pad his pocketsHe just signed an extension so I really doubt this is the make it or break it game.
