Ran a draft simulator today and we ended up with:

10: Simon Edvinsson (fat chance)

Re-running the simulator with McKenzie's list ended up with these results:

The draft simulator still has us at 10 though. If we pick in the top 8, we'll likely be able to get at least one of Johnson or Eklund, and if we're really lucky, maybe Edvinsson or Clarke falls.

Yeah, without moving up to at least 7-8, hard to get excited for the 1st rd pick--and there are some gems available in the mid to late first vs. value imo. Maybe a trade down for two firsts, or a trade up from the 2nd or 3rd? Something just doesn't feel right, like we're in a bad spot for value picks--we just miss the top 8 or so, then miss the late 1st gems...

They are only drawing 2 spots instead of 3.

I dunno about that one. I watched the recent U-18 and he looked the part of a Top-5 pick. I think he is going to be very good. Much better skater than Forbort and I think he only gets better in that department.

In my non-lottery dream scenario, LA takes Edvinsson in the first round and Morrow and Cossa in the second.

The first 1/3 of this video has me running for the hills on Edvinsson. We already have a huge project in Helge Grans, not sure my non-existent anxiety can take 2 D projects.

Draft order changes if a team makes the conference final...the last 4 picks in a round are the 4 teams in the conference finals, not the top 4 teams of the regular season. It isn't a condition on the pick.
