Think it’s funny we’ve got whole paragraph breakdowns of this game and somehow some people (not you obviously) don’t even mention that the opposing goalie put on a clinic and ours made 11 saves.

Because this team gets goalie'd like it's a fetish. Their forwards outside of Leon can't score for shit. The power play was f***ing terrible.

Skinner flat out, straight up, cost this team at least a point tonight. Caps better be buying Thompson dinner tomorrow, he’s the sole reason they were even in it.

Skinner is basically 18W-14L despite backstopping a juggernaut club, one of the best teams in the league that would have an even much better record if they had a competent #1. Meanwhile Pickard who we just picked out of nowhere rocking 11-4 and two of the losses were the Oilers being shut out. So that in games where the Oilers actually scored Pickards record is a tidy 11-2.

Skinners record prorates to a third place in division finish. He's givng us basically no margin in the standings.

We need to get any goalie, and jettison Skinner. I will never understand the narrative of get a goalie to push Skinner. Pickard is already doing it.

You'd think this team could blow most teams out of the water but they just don't. I guess that's what happens when you only have 3 top 6 forwards and the absence of 1 makes another not one. Only Drai as a top six forward right now. Yikes.

By the way, Tom Wilson with as many goals as McDavid, and more than everyone else on the team not named Draisatl.

They did however have endless chances on rebounds and came up empty. How is that not a problem?

I can't take watching Skinner play goal anymore. That second goal was horrendous. Honestly, was he looking at the jumbotron? Lol

My favourite part was Louie immediately doing damage control and saying he couldn’t see it and then they cut to an angle showing he saw it the whole way and just whiffed

The guy I was referring to has a .925 on the season and a 21-2 record. Seems it’s a league wide problem?

Your average AHL goalie could scratch out a win with 14 shots against.

Skinner doesn't give up a lot of rebounds because the first chance often goes in... sarcasm

Could you give any credit to a Caps goalie that is yes giving up rebounds on screened shots but mopping up and making 2nd and third stops as he's done all season. When do we get that with Skinner in net. I see you're on an island of one now defending him. You still think Dustin Schwartz is good? lol

There's no logic with Oilers management. They thought Jack Campbell was the answer. And before that Smith/Koskinen. They couldn't wait to run Talbot out of town when he wasn't putting up godly numbers. They've always been incredibly lazy in everything they do. If not for McDrai every single one of those assholes would be in Russia right now writhing away in complete irrelevance. They've done nothing.

Thompson couldnt possibly have been leakier in this game...rebound chances all over the place.
