Yeah, unless it's the final shot, lol.

What are you saying?

That the points leader ain't the best player ever?

If so, does it means that Henri Richard (11 cups) and Béliveau (10 cups as a player, 17 total) blow them Gretzky and Lemieux out of the water, as far as hockey goes?

James won 4 championships...

Better to loose in the first round according to some, that like Patrick Roy loosing game 7 record...

You can spin it has a looser or as you needed 7 games to push him out of the playoff

I think the Messi–Ronaldo rivalry is the best in 21st century sport, given the global reach and how good each were in their respective sports, but I feel that Sid/OV is second. Although basketball and football are bigger than hockey in North America, I don't think those sports had a rivalry that defined their respective leagues to the extent that Crosby and Ovechkin did.

That rivalry was something you'd create in a lab. You had a mild-mannered, "good ol' Canadian boy" with the all-around playmaking game vs. the rock star supernova Russian who could bring people out of their seats with his electric goalscoring, both playing on contenders who would continually go head-to-head in the playoffs. They didn't like each other, their playing styles were oil and vinegar and they had a storied geo-political history to add a layer of conflict. It revitalized the NHL and defined that era of the game. They were the Magic and Bird of their era.

More than anything, I just feel lucky to have witnessed two all-time greats give back so much to the sport.
