alzner
semin

letting markov and radulov walk

not firing therrien forever
not firing lefebvre when he ruined our farm system
...

he's not generational, he gambled hard this year and it payed off

The Radulov one is pretty bad. But did Radu want to resign for sure?

Others aren't so bad. Can't bat 100. Look at LL's bad deals

You forgot Serge for Drouin.

But my goodness has most of his wheeling and dealing worked out for him.

He absolutely robbed Chicago of Danault (and made an off-the-board selection of Romanov).
Killed Vegas in the Suzuki-Tatar + pick for MaxPac trade.
Stole Toffoli and paid him peanuts.
Ate some capspace to net Armia.
Smooth talked Perry into signing up.
Drafted a peewee Caufield when no one else dared to.
Traded for a big top-4 dman in Edmundson to a good contract after he had a terrible season.
Signed Chiarot who is a beast at playoff time.
Traded for Petry.
Not to mention the free picks from sign/trades of Kovalchuk and Scandella
He even signed Radulov when no one wanted him. (then lost him)
Selected KK

He's a master at wheeling and dealing. And has a horseshoe up his arse.

Petry is a good one

Absolutely robbed Chicago and Bowman. Yet he's losing a poll against that guy. Wtf

You've been wrong the entire year

Mtl's fourth line is Armia - Staal - Perry

The dud built the best fourth line ever

Two of those guys are still living off Cup glory from 15 years ago

For the people voting no. Name me a better GM and their track record.

Don't mention Zito

i was never a Bergevin hater, but was ready to move on and blow the team up before this cinderella run. said he was going to build through the draft when he came in, but took him a few years to finally go that way.

anyway, besides Price and Gally, everyone else was acquired by Berg. i remember some Habs fans saying he wasted a good core, but we had no depth. now we have great depth and a cupboard full of prospects

generational? he's not Sam Pollock

I don't think he was ever as bad as some said he was. I know part of the reason for the criticism is because of the hockey crazy market he is in.

It was nice to see how excited he was after the game. He's probably shed a lot of job stress during this run.

2017 offseason is one of the worst offseason I've seen in my life.

Bergevin is able to do the best or the worst. It's just that we never know what it will be.

No, there was talk about him being fired in the offseason and I think unless they win the cup that talk should continue. They are pulling off lucky upsets and riding a hit goalie. Anything can happen in any playoff series. Bergevin built a team that barely made the playoffs in the easiest year to make the playoffs and had a very low chance of winning each playoff series except maybe the Winnipeg one. They got lucky. If Tavares didn’t get injured they would have been bounced in the first round.

This team he built wouldn’t have made playoffs with the regular format. You’re letting their hot streak cloud your judgement.
