Interesting Info: Part XXII (Jackets-related "tidbits" here)

I don't subscribe to the Athletic but Portzline today had a teaser with JP McConnell about interest from "Haslam" The only Haslam I know owns the Browns and Crew. One of those franchises is run better than the other. Anyone know what Porty was talking about with his comment of interest from Haslam?

Recent NY area news sources are reporting Jarmo is a serious candidate for the Islanders GM job. I’ve expected Jarmo to reappear and a bit surprised he hasn’t been associated with more openings even though the end of his time here was not pretty.

Do any of you long timers remember back to when GM Doug MacLean was fired and Jim Nill, when he was the Asst GM with the Wings name was mentioned as a possible replacement. Am I remembering that correct and does anyone remember what happened? Was he just not interested or what? I think from time to time if he had been our GM would we maybe have the same success as the Stars?

My memory sucks but I thought Nill was after Howson was fired and it was Bob Murray (who went to Anaheim) that snubbed us after Doug was finally let go?
