Wasn’t exactly sure where to post this so I chose here. I’m back in Dayton but I don’t have cable so how do I watch games? DM me if you can’t post it.

Good information to post. Looking at the numbers, GMs should value these late picks like confederate currency and use them in trades while coveting more closely their picks in round 1 and 2, even though 2s and late 1s are anything but sure things.

I can’t help but add that Jarmo was pretty good at picking in later rounds.

Putting this here since I'm not really sure where else to put it and this seems more central than the training camp thread

I wish there were even stricter rules for displaced net situations. Whenever the net is being pushed off by defensive team, no one can tell for certain whether it's accidental, intentional or just seemingly accidental. And more importantly, even if we could determine that, it nevertheless should be penalized, always a 2 minute minor minimum (unless the defensive team is able to put net back in place before any shot is being taken towards the goal).

not sure if this is the best thread for this, but scott wheeler put out his prospect 'tiers' list (similar to what dom does for player tiers) ranking the top 114 prospects by tier. this ranking includes all U23 players league-wide.

CBJ has eight prospects on the list:
  • adam fantilli (fifth overall behind bedard, celebrini, michkov and stutzle) - tier 2C (franchise-level player)
  • cayden lindstrom (35th overall) - tier 4A (star-level player / average top line forward)
  • david jiricek (37th overall) - tier 4A
  • kent johnson (45th overall) - tier 4B
  • denton mateychuk (51st overall) - tier 4B
  • cole sillinger (81st overall) - tier 5A (top six forward)
  • gavin brindley (93rd overall) - tier 5B
  • jordan dumais (101st overall) - tier 5C

Not sure if this is the right place to put it but I noticed in the BlueLine that there are some of the cheaper Breakaway jerseys that have better quality names and numbers on them even though the patches are cheap. Is this the new standard for customized jerseys under Fanatics or just something the Blueline is doing?

Probably. Although I'll still have to buy one when the new scarlet-and-gray Stadium Series jersey comes out.

You do know how hockey nicknames work, don’t you? You would be Lasser and I would be Kotey. It is not like Chris Berman is coming up with them.

I do want to know the story behind Tuna.

Pyyhtia explained it in one of the team's videos I think just last week, maybe a post game interview. I didn't fully follow what he was saying, something about Puna being his Finnish name (short form of Pyyhtia?) and guys in Cleveland just started calling him Tuna.
