Injury Report: Injury Thread Pt. II (Del Zotto has surgery to repair sports hernia)

At this point I've given up hope of the series win. I'm watching tonight's (and potentially the remainder) games with not a care in the world... but if Torts scratches Asham that's one of the biggest headscratchers this season & and I would legitimately be pissed off.

... and just like that Asham is scratched.

What a dumb move. I have absolutely no idea why he is being scratched... the guy has played with toughness, scored goals, and done everything you'd want from a 4th liner. Dumb.

he is making the overpriced stars look like crap.. maybe that is why.. stupid move :help:
 
So Clowe and Powe in for Richards and Asham?

Richards benched, just terrible, cant believe how bad its got

Haley + Newbury in for Richards and Asham...

Clowe/Powe maybe in for someone. No confirmation.

Word. This has become a ****show. I'm honestly not as pumped for this game. It just seems the season is over, and the moves this morning/today put the nail in the coffin. However, with that, #nyrbelieve

No. Change nothing on offense. Newbury took a few bad penalties, you want to show confidence in him. He has fresh legs. He's got passion. Torts wants an "identity" on that 4th line? Newbury, Haley, Dorsett is a hell of an identity. 3 pests that will wear their heart on their sweater and give you 100% effort 100% of the time.

The only thing you can hope for is Stralman and/or Staal being able to play on Saturday. The defense is being held together by gum right now. As for taking out Newbury, no. Clowe needs to heal. Can't rush him again. Powe can't give same grit as Newbury but he's more experienced. I think you roll out with the same exact offensive roster as this game. Taking Newbury out for Clowe is only going back to Torts' safe is death theme. Play balls to the wall, Newbury will give more energy than Clowe who isn't 100% healthy or ready to play.

Just hope for Stralsy and or Staalsy.

No. If Clowe is healthy, he plays. Simple as that. Your not keeping a guy in the lineup who has 50 NHL games under his belt, then a good playoff performer and mean Sob in Clowe.

Per Andrew Gross, Stralman definitely out today. No timetable for Staal or Clowe, who are presumably also out today. No word on Powe. Team skated yesterday, no AM skate today.
 
Stralman injury is our biggest. We've learned to play without Staal after last season and now this.. not to mention I really don't know how effective he can be if he can't freakin see.
 
Really surprised Staal is still out, might as well shut him down for the season
