Bleh hit wasn't really that bad. Left his feet obviously but it wasn't an entirely vicious hit or anything. Just a lot of complaining since McDonagh is injured on the play. Doubt there would be much conversation about the hit if no injury resulted from it. Immediately after the hit it is not like there was outrage that it was only 2 minutes and not a major (before it was even known that McDonagh was out).

Yeah I agree. There would hardly be any outrage if he hadn't have jumped, boarded, blindsided, hit the head, and concussed the opponent.

Come on. Every team does this.

Pens complained about everything while Matt Cooke was flying around like an ass, not to mention Crosby and Malkin slew-footing everything in sight.

Sens cried when Karlsson was hurt, but where were they with Neil and the other shenanigans in the playoffs last season?

It's not like a Rangers player has never been penalized for a dirty hit on an opponent, and now here we are complaining about a hit our player took.

Yes it was dirty, yes he jumped, yes there was motive, yes the league should take a look at it. This team isn't a bunch of saints though, either.

Your biggest complaint tonight should be that there was no response. Not in the passion and drive the team showed on the ice (they quit, let's be real) and not in the physical department either.

my guess is its complete supposition.

they probably did the concussion test and erred on the side of caution when it comes to that, especially after what happened with Staal & sauer

It was for sure a hit from behind. And should be looked at for a suspension. I don't think Patches meant to hurt him, but it was a bad hit for sure.

This f'ing sucks. And the response sucks. We've completely lost our identity. I'm not proud to be a ranger fan right now, and that's kind of a foreign feeling to me. We should be ****ing warriors. Right now we're pathetic.

Get better McD, Girardi, Nash, Powe. Each of you proved your worth, when most of the others haven't. Fate is cruel sometimes.
