of course it was a huge overpay...in a cap system you need value contracts

they literally paid 7 mil for 2 players have a combined 170 games under belt and 31 points between them

Jake Neighbours and Toropchenko was gonna ask for 4 mil each minimum next summer now
Its a short term contract, and they got these guys for squat.

keep trying to polish a turd, the blues bent the oilers over and stole two of their best prospects.

Lol such a bad take. If Neighbours only costs $4 that’s a steal. Toropchenko is worth nothing close to that, Holloway is not a comp for him and Broberg sure as shit isn’t either.

This whole idea from oilers fans that the offer sheets will ruin the Blues cap structure or negatively influence negotiations with our own RFAs is a total fiction. Frankly, it’s cope.

If you asked an oiler fan three months ago, you would give them a second and a third for those two guys their heads would explode, whatever makes them feel better, lol.

Blues robbed the oilers, great move.

Oilers. Not every GM can unload mediocre players and end up getting pucks and cap space back in the end. A grand slam by Stan Musial Bowman

key here: prospects

7 mil for prospects lol

that's the very definition of an overpay FFS

well no shit, we weren't paying 7 million for them

if the Oilers signed Broberg to a 4.6 mil contract and Holloway to a 2.3 mil contract...people here would laugh at the Oilers
